just finished the lincoln and thought i would share pics...winfield painted the car a while back, and the new owner must not have liked purple...i am not a big orange fan,but in person the car is good lookin.here are some before and after pics. i will post more once i get all the chrome and trim back on..
Eventhough the purple is a Gene Winfield job, and it looks good, I prefer the orange. Looks great, can't wait to see it with the trim back on it.....
The purple was ok but that orange just pops. Once the chrome is back on it will look killer. Nice job. Bill
Wasn't that car in Jersey for years???? I like the orange alot better, can't wait to seeit all back together.
John, that looks awesome! My son was really stoked by visiting your shop, he is already planning the pinstriping and flames for my truck...
Either color looks great!! You should be proud. It's gonna be killer when it's all put back together.
that was a great car when billy abate had it looks good in purple but will look new and driffrent in new cream-sicle color please post pictures when done a very cl*** ride
Awesome.Im glad Bill Abate only has cars that he built now.The car looked great purple exept for the afterthought magenta cover up truck stop striping. This color brings a new life to a car that deserves it.Show me more!
Gotta disagree with this one, that purple made that car stand out. The orange is great, looks good, but the purple was amazing IMO. Hell, that car is so cool you could smear bird**** all over it, and it would still be killer.
i had to strip the car completely.lacquer isnt a great starting point.the original paint was all over the garage floor for days.i felt kind of bad removing the old stuff because of the cars history.the car will be living in houston now so keep your eyes peeled.i will post more pics when all the trim is on.watch for the Rick Dore badge on the side..thanks for the good words..John...
