I picked these up at the flea market this weekend, the guy had about 20 of 'em. Now everyone will now I'm a fancy boy with fine taste! ha ha. Does anyone now what they're from...I'm guessing a travel trailer?
I sure hope you find out what they're from. I got a set the same way and have no clue. Mine are rusty as hell though. Dan
What day did he have them at the flea? I wpuld love to get my hands on some of those. Did you buy extra? They sure do look good!
I went sunday. They were all new and w****d up, I paid $15 for four of them. I should have tried to buy the whole box cheap.
Yes, they were travel trailers. Manufactured from '56 to '70 http://www.rv-news.com/sept1996/newrv.htm
They are from an Aristocrat travel trailer,I've been looking for some for my 1965 Aristocrat trailer and would be very interested in getting a pair if you know where I could pick some up? I would even like to get some rusty ****py ones!
You are 100% correct Mr. Fancy pants as they are off an Aristocrat MFG. Trailer. I believe they were out of Los Angeles California from what I recall. Find the rims and you would be a killer as they are aluminum and worth a sock full of booty my man. Those are really nice and a great find.
Wow...this is an old post. I ended up going back to the flea market the next weekend and bought the whole lot of 'em, I think I gave him 50 or 60 dollars for somewhere around 7 or 8 sets of four. Sold them on Ebay got between $60 and $175 for each set of four. The last set I gave to a friend here in town.
Looking at your Aristocrat hubcaps, want to sell me two. I'm restoring a 1965 Aristocrat trailer and trying to find original stuff. Car in reflection of your thumbnail photo is gorgeous.
Hey, I'm restoring a 1965 Aristocrat too. Want to see some pics? It's been altered and I'm restoring it back to original. Got any ideas on who I'd contact to replace oven burner ***embly?
I just scored a set of four of them for $20 today!!! They are pretty clean, light rust pits, but I think they will polish off. I'm pretty stoked. Also got a BLC headlight in great shape for $20 also.
Cool. My folks have a '67 Aristocrat. Grew up camping in that thing for years. Dad still uses it. Elvis had a '67 Aristocrat too. More Aristocrat info... http://www.tincantourists.com/wiki/doku.php?id=aristocrat
