I found this old body on a steep hill right by the Iowa, Wisconsin state line. It's probably been there since the early sixties...acording to an old liscence plate I found while digging around under all the leaves. Also found a door handle that I'm not sure is from this car. It looks like a inside handle from a roadster?? Anyone have any ideas? Also found what I think is a 30-31 cowl, and a Model T gas tank??
that firewall on the sedan says chevy to me with that design in it. .... earlier than 28-29. I'll guess 25. do I hear 26?
Def. a Dodge body, I'm guessing 26 or 27. Keep in mind that both Chevy and Dodge had a similar bead design on the firewalls. Both looked like a sun with rays coming out, so don't go off of that. I think the A cowl is from a 28-29 because the gas tank will unbolt from the rest of the cowl.
Half the cowl is rotted away, and about everything else. I dont think its fixable...it can be pulled to safety though.
Build it and call it a 1927 half-assed - looks like it's so rotty you could just pick it up and bring it home without so much as a single turn of a shovel. Heck we brought back a Model T that had sat since around 1950-ish off what became a trail in a public park, wish the cowl and steering hadn't been stolen out of my back yard when I was like 13, never got the rest untiil about 4 years ago - Would make someone some nice "yard art" if nothing else, I'd bring it home - Def. not 1929 Mopar, I have a dash from a Dodge and have looked at Chrysler and DeSoto, all use the same gauges in a slightly different per each make insert - Model A cowls are for the most part easy to tell apart, 29-9 are small with no bead, 30-31 are almost the same width as the windshield and have bead lines that curve up into the windshield posts -
