Took my brother and Dad to the nostalgic drags at Speedworld Motorplex. I thought it was a decent turn out. I wished the "car show" part of it was a little bigger. Damn I gotta get my Pontiac runnin'. Anyway, the Sinners, Invaders and Rattlers were all represented out there. There will be an encore April 14th for those of you who missed it. So get your taxes done early and get the hell out there! Here are a few pics.

The picture doesn't do the econo justice. I think I got it on the way back down. There was a mustang there getting the front off the ground a good 3 feet....

  11. That Mustang would probably be Kip Martin's Super Stock /L ,1965, powered by a 289 with about a 485 cfm Autolite carburetor.

Yea, that looks like it . It was insane. Thanks for the info on the race in March. There were some fliers around and only had the April 14th race on it that i saw. 'Had a great time. I will definitely be out there for both.

He was next to me on the last p*** and went 13.6, but he must have lifted cause the MPH was only 72.

Who owns the blown model T? That thing is BAD ***! Running just under 100MPH in the 1/8. I have a great video of the two T's running. I will try and get it converted to an mpg if anyone wants to see it.

The blown Tbucket is Rick Dupont. I belive he is registered here but doesn't post much at all.

He was just shifting into second as he hit the 1/8th! That has an 8" with and open 2.79:1 rear gear set in it and 6" treaded bias ply tires.

Man, the drags were a blast. That was my first time ever running on a track. I made a total of 5 p***es with the orange and black '57 Chevy g***er. The first one was a 16.93 at 82 mph, the last was a 15.21 at 90 mph. Not exactly super fast, but I had crazy fun just the same and I came away totally stoked. Totally *****in'! I'll be back for more.

Also, Rick doing 99+ mph in the 8th mile with his T-Bucket, too crazy!

    Hey Mike

Tried to find some photos of your 57 on the strip, haven’t found anything yet.
Rick is crazy in his T-bucket; I can image him at the strip. Looks like you all had a blast out at speedword. BTW you didn’t forget to check the carb jetting.
