Here's a few from my dad's photo collection. He never went to a car show or a race without his camera.

Okay that's it for tonight boys. I've got about a hundred more of these from strips in Michigan and Pennsylvania. I'll try to scan the rest real soon.

Ms. Lucky went to work and I'm thumbing through this collection right now, HOLY ****! Her dad is from Pennsylvania so that's probably where the Mr. Bradhal car was shot. Take your pick of the tracks there. Some of the other pics are from Tri City Dragway in Freeland, MI. Rod Shop Dodge, Garlits, Ram Chargers funny car, Gratiot Auto Dart...He has got some incredible pics. I'll try to post some of there later, but I'm headed out to the garage right now.

Hey Rich, I mentioned I was going over to Hatch's to see if I could give him a hand with his deuce. Andria says if him and Frank have a 32 build-off she's going to help Frank:eek: Do you think that will motivate him after all these years? Before somebody brings it up, yes, Hatch is getting a bad deal.

Here's one from Bunker Hill Indiana. The 40 Ford was Caddy powered and owned by a guy that did over 60 Caddy/Olds engine swaps in the 50's. There was a time when he got sideways and hit the timing tower. :) He's still hotrodding, but now is doing Bonneville with his son.

The picture of the '55 Chevy, "Mission Impossible" and the injected Vette look like they were taken at old Keystone Raceway outside Pittsburgh, PA.

They most likely were. My dad is from Pennsylvania (DuBois) and has been to several race tracks there. I'll confirm that with him. It's so funny how he can remember just about every detail of any race he's been to or car he's seen, but can't remember my mom's birthday. :) Unfortunately I'm the one in my relationship that can't remember anniversaries. :D

  22. I wonder if they'd like this one at Bowling Green?

This MG was driven by one of my dad's good buddies! My dad used to wrench on his dirt track car in the '80's. I remember seeing this car when I was a kid. It was off the track for a long time at that point. It is still around, though. I believe the "Rotten Robert" on the side was his brother, who still drives the thing from time to time. Amazingly, it still looks about the same.

Hey Todd, haven't heard from you in a while. That MGA is still around?!?! That's great, I was a little too young to experience Tri City Dragway but there's a ton of pictures. When I get LucksGal to post the rest I'm sure there will be a lot of Michigan guys saying ,"Hey I know that car."

Is that the owner standing next to the MGA? Sure looks like the Jimmy Samyn that did a lot of finish welding on my racecar a few years ago, and was the tech inspector at Tri City Motor Speedway before they tore it up. Is it the same guy?

Close. That's his brother, Robert. As in "Rotten Robert". Jim was the driver.

Small world. Jim is a great guy. He was in my parent's wedding way back. I used to go out to Standish Speedway to watch him race. My dad was on his pit crew.

I'm still around. I didn't post much over the summer. I was too busy having fun.

I posted some Tri-City pics a while back. Maybe I'll dust off some more.

Too cool, Jimmy Samyn sure has helped a lot of guys in this area be it with dragsters or circle trackers. A ruler for sure.
