I just got back from my garage, and I have my car all apart so I can finish welding on the frame, clean and paint everything. It's always sort of a downer to see it sitting togather one day then torn apart to were you started the next. But hey that's progress. So I thought I would just post some pictures of what I have done so far, and see what you all thought.

    By the way it's a 29 model A rodster on A rails, 39 flat motor, trans,& rear.

I hope to have the car at the jalopy showdown next year, cuz it's just not the same going round the track in my 52 chevy truck.

Boy, does that bring back memories. It is tough breaking it down to detail and finish. However, you'll notice how easily it goes back together during final ***embly.
Looks great!! keep us posted as it goes back together.

Very nice looking... what did you make that lower rear shock mount from - looks really slick. And where are your rear 'bones - I can't see 'em. Or are they not on yet?

wow thanks for the great feedback the shock mounts a what was left over from my split wishbones( the yoke part) I was looking for something cool to make them out of and Zach spotted that and after some cutting it worked perfect! thanks for the idea Zach. The rear bones are in the process, just not on yet.

    Thanks again

Looks sweeeet dude...I am building one similar, I love it!!

Gotta ask, are those late 30's Lincoln Zephyr hubcaps?? I have a set of 36 Zephyr caps I am going to run on my wide fives, but they are a little bit different than yours.

    Thanks,

    Mike

gzjrd5 didn't think anyone would notice, they are Zephyr caps not sure of the year though. They are all stainless and go almost the whole way out to the rim, haven't seen very many like them. The ones I have seen have a stainless center and a painted steel outter edge, like the Fords.

You got some characteristic furniture in that old heap o' yours, Zack.

You guys live to far away from the "old World" (read Norway). Can we do something about that? :D

There are plenty of space/fields around our (klazurfer and myself) shop/garage over here. Bring your shop and trash and we'll help out with some foundation.

There are so many ways of putting together the parts you got there, me-ohsS&C. Yet so easy to miss the ones that work out. You are definately on the right track. :):)

i think you guys need to pack up and head for the "new world" :D
we could use some more real hot rod guys in our gang
    (we'd have 7 40's style roadsters then!!!)
    think about it like this...
We're 10 minutes from Hershey, 30 minutes from Carlisle.
We live out in the backwoods region so roadsterizing the back roads all day long can be an every day occurance. winter gets cold and snowy but it seems to last about exactly the amount of time it takes to build another car.
flatheads seems to be abundant if your ready when your not in "need" (they just pop up!)
theres no dry lakes but there is a dirt track we get to play on once a year about 40 minutes away (latimore(jalopy showdown))
theres TONS of old hot rod and dirt track guys with a wealth of first hand information to p*** on
i can go on and on....aside from southern california($$$$$) im pretty dawg on happy where i am i think

keep sending encouragement to me-oh(jer) so he gets this car done soon!!!

Hear a truck coming???........look for a 40' container coming around the bend o' that ol' dirt road.

It will have SaHRK (Sarpsborg Hot Rod Klubb) brush painted on the side.

Hey Klaz start packing.....enough of this taxes and bureaucracy ****. :D:D:D

I'll tell the misses and the young ones over dinner tonight. We're off of the old snowy rock soon.

Yeah, me-ohsS&C, get the car done NOW!

    Paul,

Come on over we could always use another cool 40's style roadster in our club. We'll find you a place!

    Thanks,
    Me-oh
