Hi Guys & Gals... I don't post really often here but as my project come close to the end, I'd think it's time to present it to you. It's a 1933 Citroen Rosalie (...well, for a part ...) sat on an home made frame and powered by a Rover 215ci. I'd like to give it a 60's treatment as more as possible... Check out the french rods & customs board "Bielle chaude" for details on the build. http://90plan.ovh.net/~rodscust/forum/viewtopic.php?t=31 Hope you'll like it.
damn, that thing is odd...I love it...got any close up photos of the engine? what are the plans for the grill? man, I'd love to get my hands on some of those european bodies, just to do something different around here...
I love to see what the guys on the other side of the pond are doing. You do good work. That's a crazy looking seat you have there. Is that a 65 Mercury Comet in the background?
Dude, what a cooool ride, thanks for sharing , really nice work, It's a thrill to see a hot rod so unique to whats available in the U.S. Hot rods and the fab. H.A.M.B. brings all us together as hot rod bros no matter what the distance between. Totally impressive. Thanks again, Larry,Sololobo
Too cool. I love to see the cars you guys do, especially those you build that are not Americn made. Really impressive. Thanks for letting us be a part of your experience. J.
I think it's so neat that you don't have to speak any particular language (I couldn't read anything on the site he posted) but if we have some pictures , words are not needed. You can follow the build step by step with the photos and they are self explanitory. Good job. Frank
Nice Citroen, not something I've ever seen. A local is planning on running a rover motor in a tank at bonneville, the ones he has laying around the shop are a nice outta the box motor. s.
Yeah, I'm impressed with the car and the documented build with pictures. Everyone should do that. Very nice. Wish I could read French.
Many thanks ! Very proud you enjoy it ! Sorry for all of you who can't read french.... Yes peckerhead 28, the Rover is an alloy block & the carbs are SU's. I'd like to find an 2x2 Offenhauser but they're so rare and a bit expensive for me so I decide to keep those for a while. The '65 Comet in the back is a friend's one. He just turned it into a Gasser using a Mercedes van front axle. Way cool ! I'll keep you informed on the car's progress... Cheers Vince
It's legal since you don't meet cops who understand what is it... Or have a car crash... then you'll have big problems but I think this case never happened...
http://babelfish.altavista.com/ a lot is lost in translation... but if ya think about it u can work it out... things like 'the previous landlord' I'm guessing means 'previous owner'. That is a very cool car. I dig it. It reminds me of the 'stagecoach' hot wheel from back when I was a kid, the way it sits. -W
