Newer model fullsize pickup spare wheels? 20's? Dig the truck man, didn't know if you were still around. You've got a nice stable of rides...

I would like to hear about the wheels too. I thought that body style of truck started in '48? And what else is going to get done to it before you consider it "finished"? Any plans to paint it?

the Advanced Design Chevy trucks actually started in the middle of 47. early 47s are still the previous "art deco" style.

i have'nt made up my mind on the wheels yet but the truck over all looks real cool.

I like it goodman, I was wanting to give my 53 the same wheel treatment. It looks as good as I thought it would. I wanted to go 17s, but those wheels look good. Post some day photos. I just got a boost of inspiration to work on my truck. Thanks, Chaco

It's a 47 chevy truck on a 84 S-10 ch***is, 383 motor, 350 ******, 2" drop spindles, 20x8 steel wheels, custom real white wall tires, and bed was cut down to fit the ch***is. I will post day time pics tomorrow. Thanks to good friends, we got this truck done.

Nice looking truck. What are those wheels off of? They look like the 2002-2006 Dodge spare wheels but they are 5x5.5 are you running adapters to run them on the S-10 Ch***is?

let see a straight on profile shot. i had'nt noticed you shortened the bed. i want to see how that looks with no chop. i opted to shorten my bed rather than use the long bed S10 frame but mine is chopped 4 1/2".

I like the shortened bed, looks very proportional. I'd like to hear how the tires were made and where the steel wheels came from. Neat truck.

My take on the wheels is that I like them...

However, I don't think they look 'better' than stock steelies with WWWs... Just different.

Different is cool but I'm not sure if it was worth it all in all.

Love the truck hate the rims. Sorry, your mixing styles and thats just not my bag. The truck stance is great.

i think the truck looks real good. i'd choose a more traditional wheel/tire combo though. while i can be ok mixing some traditional style with modern-- i dont think the tires match the truck and i definately dont think the white wall low pros look right.

    just my .02 cents though...

Well, you asked. The wheel/tire combo combined with the stance and short box makes it look like a toy. The truck really needs a chop now. Like 2 1/2-3 inches. And no matter what, the wheels just don't get it. Like I said, you asked. For the record, I have a 54 that I see every day. That could possibly jade my opinion, and the fact that these trucks just scream for traditional mods or shop truck treatment. I like it in general but damn does it ever need a chop. Something like this maybe?

I Dig the truck! I don't think it needs a chop but i really don't like the 20 inch wheels either, it takes away from the stance and doesn't work with the size shape of the wheel wells.

...is that thing bagged?...if not how does steer?...don't look like much room to turn those big rims.

I think the wheels work because they are black. The shorter box works well with out the chop. Well thought out and proportioned ride. 54chop

Thanks for all the Comments (good & bad). I'll try to answer some of your questions. First no air ride, wheels are modern truck spares, the truck steers fine, with the S-10 ch***is the wheels sit in about 4 inches
    Thanks, R
