I've seen these axles from Worm on ebay, has any Hambers bought one and if so, how was the fit and finish? I searched for Worm on here and seen he's a hamber, don't seem to post much though. Not listed as a vendor, but one post of his says hambers can get one for $350, as opposed to $419. Pretty good discount. I guess what I'm asking is for is input on there products and reputation. Happy turkey day to everybody!!
Dodgerodder used his front airbag setup, and said good things about it. I'm waiting for mine to be shipped. He is a hard man to get on the phone, in my experience. I don't know anything about his axles, but they look nice, and I've read positive write-ups in magazines.
The Cen-Pen people are great people. Very knowledgable and friendly, just really good car folks. (Plus they have a super cool black and green tanker in their display and on their shirts!)
I just got some stuff from Worm, no problems and a pretty sweet deal. Shipped it all quick as well. Those axles look great, never seen one in the flesh though.
I ordered my stuff a few weeks ago, but he finally billed my Visa last week. I guess if he was disreputable, he bould have billed me immediatly. The parts I ordered are probably machined on a made to order basis, and will be here soon enough.
he's right down the road from me. I've been to his shop once...its not really a big operation i remember him saying about being backed up on orders but its pretty much just the one guy doing everything with his wife helping. seemed like a reputable guy but i havent ever dealt with him from a business standpoint Zach
Sent worm the bucks this morning for my axle, after mentioning to him I was a hamber he cut me a deal at $350 with free shipping. I was all ready to shell out $419 thru ebay for it. So although he's not on the alliance vendors list, he'll cut fellow hambers a deal. I'll add to this after getting it under the truck, hopefully soon.
Yeah Raffman, I'd be interested in hearing what you got to say too. His feedback on ebay is good, and he's communicated with me back and forth on this axle deal with no problems. If you got something to say, say it.
I think this issue has been covered here before about him. He is a very difficult guy to get ahold of unless you leave a message you want to buy something, he calls right back. There's no need for details but a mans word should mean something especially in his business. I returned a part that he agreed to refund and had to have my bank eventually take action because he would not respond. I'm not the only one, do a search here.
You know feedback on Ebay is not 100% at all.. I have been stiffed and didn't leave bad feedback. Why because you end up paying the price with a bad product and the responce and feedback by the seller with some BS responce.. you pay the price X2!! If I don't like the product, I contact the seller and talk to them.. But if you can't get ahole of them???? then what??
You sure he's Worm34 I did a search and the Worm34 has no feedback and nothing for sale for the last 30 days
Cen-Pen has sheet metal on Ebay right now. A bunch of DMS replacement floors, rockers, firewalls. I just ordered a switch panel. Will let you know when it arrives.
It's listed as worms34, not worm34.As of this evening they have over 3,500 items listed. They have a 99.6% feedback rating.491 out of the last 493 left a positive feedback.I've never used them............Mike
I have to go along with John on feedback, theres been times I wasn't tickled-to-death with things I bought, but didn't leave a negative for fear of "get-back" feedback. It seems it don't matter if you pay instantly, if you buck the deal, it turns into a pissing contest on ebay these days, and I for one don't buy or sell as much as I used to because of this BS. As for Raffmans post on Worm, I searched for him, but by posting, not name, so some of your posts about him didn't show up. I'm gonna show "good faith" in my deal for a week, after that I'll be looking for my money back and buy it from someone else. Speedway, CCP, and several others seem to be selling the same axle. I'd paid with paypal with a CC so I have several ways to dispute the deal if need be. Also, lots of communication before the deal, none afterwards, yet anyway. I'm like every other hot rodder on here, all I want is decent parts at a fair price with decent service, nothing more, and damn sure nothing less!
I bought a dropped axle from CenPen (Worm) for my 48 F1. Quality is great! Fit is Great! It was well worth the wait. It took about 3 months. I'd buy from him again. Keven-
I don't know about you Von, but I ain't waiting 3 months for a "in-stock" axle to ride 2 days in the brown truck. If you got time to list 3500 items on ebay, you can ship my stuff and spend 10 minutes to ship it and 60 seconds to let me know its coming....
