Great score! You should try to get the guys number junking these cars! By the looks of what he is throwing away he must have some cool shit stashed. Also look in the dumpsters and see if he is throwing away old parts or ask the guys at the recycling yard to show you where he dumps his scrap parts.

Good for you man! Keep bringing that stuff home!

    well kevin..
    you screwed up again..

you missed your oppertunity to make up some story about how the car was a barn find.. and that it had been some "LANDMARK" kustom back in the day..
(I mean come on.. all the big $$$ car guys are doing it...)

and if you had told TOKYO what steering wheel was in there (I know its gotta have an accessory wheel right?) you coulda seen what really makes him tick..

    oh well..

    another merc..

    HO HUM..

    PS.. nice score..

It has an accessory wheel in it? Like this one? That would make an amazing deal the deal of a lifetime!

Kinda the same story with my Hudson. It was on it's way to get
scrapped and the guy stopped at Doc Franknstien's gas station and said something like whata think of this? Mike said happenin with it? Gonna get some money for it at the crusher! Mike said "no your not"!
what do ya want for it? Theyll give me 500.00 in metal. SOLD!!! Then i was fortunate enough to be the next owner with pink!:D

Congratulations! You need to find out who the old guy is and offer to help him get rid of his cars. He's held onto them this long, so he obviously cares for them, so he'd probably be willing to sell them to another car guy... especially one who will tow it away saving him the trouble of hauling it to the bone yard!
