I went to Bowie TX today to pick up a motorcycle with my son and spotted this along the way. I've always been a binder fan, but never knew they made a COE. I like the boxy body, it makes the COE look even more pug nosed. Have I been under a rock by not seeing one before, or are these on the rare side?

Look for pics of a 37 Binder COE, they look pretty cool.
They have a suicide door on one side and a regular door on the other side.

Yup, you been under a rock. My dad had one of these in a semi tractor model.('57) Went like a sob, w/gas engine. There is one for sale exactly like dad had in Stephenson ,MI. I had thought of buying it, but got too many irons in the fire now. GMC made a similar model, w/Pontiac engine. The old man had one of them too. Neither one was a true coe, but "snub-nose". As I recall, they both went like hell, had good pulling power for their time, turned short, and rode awful as compared to hoods........Ole Pork

Actually that snub nose cab in that body style of International may be more common than the conventional. The reason for the snub nose trucks in the 40's and 50's is that the eastern states had very restrictive length laws on the books so short trucks were a necessity in those states. Most western states didn't have those laws in effect but the short nose trucks were even popular out west for awhile.

That is one of the most hideous things Ive ever seen...It should definitely be back on the road collecting curious stares and "what the's". In proper form I bet it could give the Jeepers Creepers truck a run for its money.
