  3. A bunch of us used to have cars in there years ago but got sick of having to babysit them all weekend.
I'll do my usual Thursday night scoping out to see if its worth going back to or not though.

I'll be there... Club is having 50th anniversary party Sat nite there. Hopefully we'll have enough member cars to fill the 15 spots reserved for us! Looking forward to another Backyard Bombers/Altar Boys chop too.

Jan 5,6,7th,ya I wouldnt put my car back in there if it wasnt worth it.Super Rod magazine is doing a special display for 32 fords,so I was asked to do it again.

  10. No offence Al,
But I think the show has gone way down hill. 10 years ago it was a GREAT show every year, but lately it is full of a lot of tuner cars and "cruise night cars". Back in the 80's and 90's it had some outstanding cars. I still go every year hoping it will be better. And then I leave VERY dissapointed.
Now it's just not worth the drive, the $12 to park or the admission.

    Just my $.02

Yep- Ill be there for my shop and also the Right Coast ***ociation showing my work done on the 49 Chevy pickup they gave away, Might also bring something thet is in the works too- gotta see ....maybe the WIllys in steel.

Stop by and say hi if you get a chance.

You know, one of the reasons they dont get the cars for people to see is because people dont put their cars in the show. Maybe if more guys tried it for a year , then **** wouldnt have to use all the tuners to fill the space where the hot rods should be.

Being in the show is work but a lot of fun- TONS of people see the car and ask questions and chat with you. Ive been doing the show since 1998 with my own car (which isnt going this year either) but will work the show anytime **** needs me to- he is a great guy and tries REALLY hard to make it a quality event.

Oh and if anyone needs a room at the hotel next door, PM me - I have a $99 a night group rate there.

  18. You know, its this type of behavior that could change that show for the better.
