37's seem to now be trendy. I have a 38. Off the top of my head, the tailights and grille are different than a 38. I don't think the hoods interchange, at least easily. Mechanical brakes like a '38.

You either like them or you don't.

If they are so ugly why has everyone made a fiberglass copy in coupe style and pickup. Haven't seen any 35 36 38 or 39 replicas.

  5. '37 & '38 Deluxe & Standard coupes shared a body.

    '37 & '38 Standard sedans shared a body

The '38 Deluxe sedan was a new body, different from the '37 sedans. If I'm not mistaken this body was held over for the '39 sedan.

I know this is a real long shot but.........in 67 i bought a nice 37 coupe in Valley Center kansas, original with a later flat motor, had Jackson Brothers body shop shoot it in bright red, drove it in high school, traded title for title for a 59 impala, ended up in Ark City kansas, driven by a preacher though the 70's, lost touch with the car, have never seen it since, it was bright red, black pin striping, rag interior, mech brakes, black wheels, re-wired by me , 16 years old, fiberglassed floors, would love to fine it again. Bought it for $250 running and driving.........kool deal, anyone know it?

Would you still happen to have any pictures? I could tell you if I've seen it for sure then.

I like the 37's because they are the only year of those years that have the removable side panel to show the engine
Fuelpump misses his 37 :) It was my inspiration. Oh boy..an opportunity to blaster another pic... :)

I believe you are correct. I've also been told the 38 standard sedan was not available in the slantback style, it was only available in the humpback. 37s may have developed into a trendy style today. I kind of fell into mine by accident.
