I'm pretty bored right now, so I thought I'd post some pics of some barn finds for your viewing pleasure.

Yeah! I good amount of these pics were taken within the last 2-3 years. And, as far as I know, mostl of these cars are still sitting in the same places.

Most of them are in the Mid-West and North-Eastern US.

you must be getting some of those from ebay... I have several of the same in my rusty car folder . I'm up to about 700 now. get em from here and ebay mostly, along with a few I've taken myself.

what is it about a rusted worn out old car that is so appealing???

Yeah. I just collect them in a folder on my computer. I have a bunch that I took, and a bunch that I found.

I don't know what it is about the cars, but I just can't get enough of them. They just have so much more "personality" to them than a trailer queen does.

That one was just sitting in a field just North of Pittsburgh. It's back on the road now.

    Here's another picture for you.

LOL. I don't know what you call them other than barn finds, though.

Just finds, I guess. But that doesn't sound as good. :D

That bus reminds me of one that my old high school teacher and her husband were restoring to use as a motorhome. It was an old Flexible Flyer. Pretty similar in design. All aluminum construction, save for the frame and driveline. It had a 460 in it, put in sometime in the 70's. I was trying to talk him into a 6BT diesel for it, but he never did before they moved away. Pretty neat old bus. I've thought that restoring one for a RV would be fun.

Seymour - I run across a few old cars from time to time driving around west Texas. You lookin for something specific? I can keep my eyes open for ya...

Haha. I know of a guy about 20-30 minutes from here who has a ****-load of old tin (like 80-90 cars ranging from the 1930's-1950's...), but he doesn't want me giving out any of his info.

That's unfortunate, but I can't say I blame him. I'd want to keep that under wraps too.

Yeah. Is there anything in particular you are looking for? I may be able to get a hold of him if he has a car you want. He's not really interested in selling, but you never know....

Not particularly, unless he has some 61-66 Ford truck stuff. That's my main focus right now.

  30. More please.....
