Just picked up a 1958 Biscayne 2 door, gonna do a nice Kustom and looking for inspiration, wild paint, 2 tone gotta see em.
amazing how it's kinda hard to tell if that picture is 1962 or 2006.that car still looks exactly the same!
well, if you find that post about mad fabricators vol. 4... and click the video you can see it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=145827
I can't get enough Flake. I think I am going 2 tone flat green metallic and silver flake, with flip flop scallop designs, outlined with white pinstripe.
Standard backspacing. Can't remember the size right now. I think they are either 195, or 205/75r14's. Fifteens would probably look better, but I already had two of the tires and wanted to run the Corvette caps, so 14's it is. May switch to chrome reverse or supremes and skinny whites before long. We'll go 15's, if we change wheels. Edit: They are 195/75r14.
****in' a, bout time a 58 thread pops up. i swear im obsessed with every 1958 general motors car produced... especially 58 Olds' and Ponchos... oh mamma. nice pix, thanks for sharing.
TP-- The car was white when we got it. Angie, Lux and I scuffed, prepped, taped and masked the car. And Lux sprayed the candy after that. Did it in about 19hrs. In a row. We was tired. And we were most fortunate to have Von Franco and The Barnett pinstipe the scallops. And Franco suprised us with a piece on the decklid. Thanks for the compliment. I don't think it worthy of "favorite", but it did turn out good.
