heres another view. yesterday i took some 1/4 steel rod and ran it around the latch openings on the front to pretty them up a bit. it looks pretty good. and yes the hood latch still functions!!!

and another. side view. i gave the front of the hood a cool profile by running the hood line back into the fenders abit instead of straight down as usual

heres a pic of the fender. had to figure out where it stopped! i took some 3/8 round stock and made the basic skeleton for the sheet metal. right there it sits 2 and a half inches off the ground, cant wait for the spindles!!! im gonna tear that nice roundstock right off. its gonna be cool.

this profile shot looks real good.

i like it alot. sometimes they take too much out of the hood and it turns out looking too skinny, this looks pretty good though.

keep up the good work, and post more pics!

I really like what you're doing there! Sectioning the hood and raising the fenders kinda visually "squeezes" the cab down some and makes it look more pleasing to the eye, in my opinion. It'll also help make the chop look more in proportion to the rest of the cab.

Can't wait to see more pics of this one!!! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]

the proportions are looking really nice. Interesting way to gauge where the fender used to be. The Barris bros used alot of round stock when they fabbed up body mods. Gives you a strong smooth rounded edge. But it sounds like this truck is going to me s****ping low so you might need to trim those fenders back a bit. [IMG]

jaygeff, looks real good. I like the look of the hood. I'd like to see how the chop goes. My buddy is working on a 48 F-1, but his has a 52 front end on it. He is planning on a chop soon. later plmczy
