Wanted to say hi to everyone, wish I had something a lil' wittier to say, but you know. I'm going to be building a '51 Plymouth Business coupe into a Gasser. I helped a friend swap a slant six and three speed into a '50 Dodge, and now I'm hooked on the older tin. I already know how to turn a wrench, and have built a few fast muscle cars already, but nothing as cool as this ol' Plymouth.

I pulled it out of a field exactly like this, missing alot of stuff, but most of the important parts are there, like the hood, chrome, fender, etc. My current plans are to get it running and rolling with a 318, the new suspension in, primer it black, lexan windows, etc. Later I'm swapping in a 413 and a torqueflight. Will get more pictures as soon as I can.

    Check out my webpage...

My other cars are the red primered '68 Charger, the gray primered '70 Challenger, a '72 GMC Sprint and the blue '68 Valiant.

I can tell you right now, that 413's gonna be a bitch to put in there. My wayfarer (same basic body, just a sedan) has a 440 in it and we had to recess the firewall 8 inches to get it to fit.

Uh-oh... Hopefully I updated everything all right... [IMG]

I just want to get it running/driving/braking first, then start on the insanity.

I'm very interested in hearing/seeing more about this! I thought we might have problems with the frame rails and the headers, but didn't even think about the firewall. How did you mount the motor/tranny? I have a few ideas, just wondering what you did. And the 413 is actually a .030 over 440 Magnum that will be done up externally like a stock '59 "Golden Lion 413". The inside will be all business. [IMG]

Kyle!! Whoa! Lotta people on here! I'm that crazy guy with the Dodge Charger who used to live on Second st. I'm going to pick it up on Saturday, if everything goes right. I'll say hi to Don for ya. Hey, I keep driving by your house, I'll have to stop by some time.
