Please continue to pray for Joseph. He is not doing well at all. We were at the hospital last night, and after a week in the hospital, he is still struggling to breathe. The doctor said he will be there at minimum another two weeks, and likely longer than that.

It's hard for me to see him struggle and hurt, when a couple of weeks ago he was a bright-eyed happy little guy who charmed everybody.

In our family prayers of thanksgiving around a turkey dinner today, please give thanks for our Joseph, and thank God that he has lived so much longer than the 24 hours the doctors said he would live when he was born, and pray that our Lord would lay his healing hand on Joe.

After you do that, please PM ratstar, get his address, and send him an early Christmas gift, or buy a voucher for some artwork, or bid on one of the auctions on his behalf. Ratstar & I have PM'ed each other about his twin sons and my twin grandsons, as both are special needs situations, and he is truly a good guy.

A large number of HAMBers, each doing something, will take of of ratstar's needs in no time. And I know, from just the few months I've been on this awesome site, that it won't take long.

Duncan, I've sent my prayer from South Texas. Nothing is more hurtful than seeing a baby in distress. I worked in hospitals and operating rooms for a while and sometimes when you look at all the tubes and wires hooked up to them it can be kinda scary. Just know that 50 years ago he wouldn't have had a chance. Just love em as much as you can and thank God for blessing you with his presence. May Jesus hold him in his hands and protect him and make him whole. God bless you all.

It took some effort, but we managed to get a smile out of him. Thanks so much for your prayers, and please keep praying for his recovery.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to every person who has been praying for Joseph. He is home from the hospital, his kidney function has returned to where it was before (which is very low, but not low enough that they have to start dialysis yet), and he now has a feeding tube, as a swallow study showed that formula was going right into his lungs. He is fat and happy, as you can see.

  21. I have 5 grandchildren, all from my youngest daughter and I would hate for any of them to have a serious health problem. You will for sure be in our prayers. Love camwinder and mrs. camwinder.
