    Wyatt, that's really cool man.

Since I can't nominate you, I'm thrown' Fat Hack's name out there. Not sure if he is and alliance member...his tag is "Old School HAMBer"...not sure what that means yet.

He puts up the tech like yoda and has responded to all my annoying PMs with helpful advice. Just don't bad mouth the SBC 305 to the guy and everything is cool.

I'll add another vote for John ****erman too....johndanger on here, what he did for Dusty was great, we (me & mr A32) went along on the thrash day for a while to provide moral support (and donuts!) the work was amazing, and NOBODY wanted anything in return.

    Thanks again John :D

    very generous and inspired offer....

very tough choice too, so many deserving HAMB folks...

I think RACEFAB has given more time, effort, miles and out of pocket contributions than any other HAMB member out there...
    he is my first choice.

well Ryan has given more but, he is the boss :)

    second choice?

    I don't have one but,

Nads has more heart and soul than any other poster I read..
your perspective speaks to a lot of us.. if I had a second choice, it would be Nadeem. he is as deserving of the gift that keeps on giving as any..

    and Denise,
    the happy shiney HAMBer,
can't imagine the HAMB without you.
I have never met you in person,
but I know when we do I will have to get that hug..
love you and your personal contributions here,
you make it warm and good.
    merry Christmas Denise.

    and Bob Bleed
there is one guy who truely lives real hot rods..
I hope to meet you some day too..

the list is long for deserving members...
it could go on and on and on...

I'd like to nominate Steve (HotRodToHell) and Stacey (Action Girl). Not sure if either is an Alliance Member yet or not, but I think they'd both be dynamite candidates for this gift!

Steve is probably the most honest-to-goodnes "to the core" Car Guy that I've ever met, and a genuinely good friend to boot. Words can't describe how devoted he is to his cars and his personal goals...I keep thinking back to the Big Thrash he pulled off to get his 55 Chevy on the road for Billetproof Detroit 05, and the goosebumps I felt when he motored through the gate in that car when NOBODY thought he'd actually pull it off! DirtyT and I, along with a few others helped him along the way, but Steve is the one who stuck to it with his unwavering "Never Say DIE!" at***ude and stayed up all night to get the car done.

Just being around Steve is a real treat...he lives and breathes this stuff and somehow manages to keep his hot rod projects going while trying to run a business, take care of his family, and maintain home ownership. He's a bucks-down kinda guy, but he pulls off miracles with what he has by subs***uting iron-clad will and determination for cubic dollars!

Aside from all of that (and I could never express it all well enough!), he is honest, straight, clean and true. He doesn't drink, doesn't do drugs, and he'd give the sirt off his back to a total stranger to help them out. I'd like to see him get this wonderfull Christmas gift because I KNOW he could apply the discounts to do some really cool things with his cars, and he's already long been an ***et to the HAMB and a great friend to all who know him! I' for one, am very happy and proud to know him, and I admire him more than I could ever say!

And let's not forget Stacey! Her endless enthusiasm and wit are infectious to the core, and the way she stuck to it and overcame one obstacle after another to get her car, (Faye!) on the road again is the stuff that makes true hot rodders smile with pride! She's never been afraid to dive in and get her hands dirty, and did the bulk of the upgrades on her Chevy herself, working alongside her father...it just doesn't get any better than THAT!

Stacey called after her rebuilt Stovebolt let go and we talked a while about what had been done to her car to that point, and I was glad to hear that she was ditching the sick six for a small block V8! I know she'll never come to regret that decision, and Faye will live a long, happy life in the care of one truly devoted hot rod owner!

Stacey's stories, blogs, pictures and jokes are a riot, and she's as point-blank honest as she is funny! She also keeps several balls in the air at once...jumbling, work, a husband, a daughter, a new home, her hot rod and her scooter addiction all at the same time! I think her, along with Steve are two of the many, many deserving HAMBers that I'd like to see given this very cool gift! I know they'd both appreciate it, and they've deffinitely earned it!

Well, them's my two nominations anyway!

    :)

My vote goes for Zeke! It takes balls for a guy to have an established life already and THEN go and serve the country like he is doing.Even though I've never meet him I'm proud of him! I think he deserves this and more.

Please consider Kustomg***er for the giveaway.

Rick is keeping the hot rod spirit alive today. I was in need of some parts that were very hard to find for my project. I posted a “wanted” add on the HAMB and Rick replied saying that he could help me out with the parts. Rick then turned around and sent me the parts at no cost, not even for the shipping! I was raised with the old school values instilled upon me, so it is really nice to know that there are still people out there that still embrace what it is that this great country was made from. The hot rod culture has many great people within it grasp but few stands head and shoulders above the rest, and Rick is one of them.

    Thank you for your consideration

  16. Doc, for being a great behind the scenes hamb supporter.
Denise, for being the hamb's best cheerleader and volunteer.
Ben D for rackin up the miles makin hambers happy delivering goods.
Flat top bob for supplying a never ending stream of goodies to his hamb buddies.

  17. I'm proud to say that I have met all 4 of these HAMbers. They have all gone out of their way to help me out... heck, 3 of them have fed me.

    Add Reggie to the list.
All the SFCC that have taken me under their wing(s)
    Tyler flt-blk and Mike OldCarPilot
    Terry and Tina
    DW and Laura
LUX Blue and the guys at Crushproof
    Jerry
    Tingler

    The list goes on...

  18. I've got a couple of nominees for ya:

Tomslik went and picked up 2 MG TD bodies for me, dragged 'em to his place, stripped the good parts off one and bundled it with the second, and then loaded all the stuff I wanted on a truck for a FNG who was a complete stranger. Without asking for anything in return.

Also, PNW HAMB'er Orcas Tow, who donated a set of frame rails to the MG project, and then made me a killer deal on a ford I-beam axle to go with it.

And honorable mention (as well as the lump of coal he asked for) to Porkn******.

Lots of great nominations. It is a testament to the great ***embly of talent that this board draws upon, the world over.

As for myself, I'd like to nominate Roadstar. I can't belive that I didn't see his name yet. Ask anyone about Rudy and you'll get the same resopnse: "That guy's a real cool mother****er." (sic) However, because I'm limited to text here I can't give you the look that accompanies the words. It's that look where they kind of squint and raise their eyebrows at the same time to underscore the sentence with an unspoken "seriously, man. No ****."

In the time I've known Rudy he's always been very generous with his time and advice. His knowledge is extensive. He's a member of the Deadbeats, which I'm sure most of you are familiar with. They are a club that includes some very talented builders with great cars. Rudy is a very understated individual who never pushes his cred or acomplishments down your throat, and that could mean that some people may not be aware of his relevance as a result. But make no mistake, he's a great ***et to our little community.

In addition, Rudy is one of the key figures in this years Detroit Autorama "Xtreme" (the "rat rod" show in the ba*****t at Cobo - duh) and I know that a lot of people are really looking forward to this years show. It is going to be bigger and better than ever. I could go on and on, but that'd be boring. Hats off to all the nominees, and Vive La HAMB.

    Later!

Id have to say Ken aka chopperimpala, because he has had some hard times with the X (not at liberty to elaberate(sp)) in life, and having some of the worst luck a guy could ever have i think it would be kool if he could get something in a positive direction for once. Also, for sticking up with me ( i am his 15 yo son) in the past 3/4 years.

70 nominated with 116 nominations at this point!!!!

Lots of great stories of of the unselfless acts that so many have commited to help this hobby/sport or whatever you want to call it.

And I've confirmed with Ryan, the Alliance Memberships will be activated on Christmas day. So there won't be any lag. All that is lacked is the names.

With so many deserving people around here it is almost impossible to single out just one. But when the chips are down, you've lost your best friend, and even your mom has doubts about you there is one selfless individual that ANYONE can call on, be ***ured that you will have undivided attention and help to the fullest extent no matter the cir***stances, and a contributer to the HAMB without equal and it comes wrapped in the most humble package I've yet to meet the award goes to Denise , Hotrodladycruiser.
If by some cruel fate you haven't met her the best is yet to come as they say. The cookies are great, the hugs drive away the blues, and the smile will melt the coldest heart.
BTW, if I haven't mentioned it I vote for Denise, HRLC.;) :)

there were two HAMBrs in particular that came to mind when i read this post. First, i would like to nominate wayfarer. he has been my link to this board full of great people. he was super willing to help out when my father p***ed away and he has been a great friend and a great source of advice and help. he has done a lot for me over the past few years, especially through this board. i am not sure if he is already an alliance member or not though.

I would also like to nominate my brother salcheeza. he is not a frequent user of the board, but he has been amazing thoughout all of the hard times i have faced. he has spent countless hours helping me on my car. he made a promise to help me finish the project my late father and i started and he is more than following that through.

lastly, if it is possible, i would jsut like to nominate everyone who was so generous and who lended all of their support when i lost my father. this is an amazing board full of amazing people, and they all deserve to be recognized for their contributions to the hot rodding world.

Well, I have to add Humbolt Cat to the list here! This kid is the consumate hot rod young gun! He eats sleeps & sh*ts this way of life, yet is educated enough to deal with life as an Television Station Engineer/Programmer on a daily basis,(This pay is STINK!)
It's true that he's a broke a** fool just like me, but man, this guys heart is in the right place! He is having a streak of financial bad luck @ the moment, I wish that he didn't live 700mi up the state cuz then I would be in better position/location to help him out. I'm sure that a gift of any kind from a HAMB bro such as you Wyatt & Fiddy Four would be a very welcome gift @ this point of his life.

If ya get a chance, go back & read a post that he wrote about me a few years back, It's actually quite touching! I certainly didn't think that I had that much affect in contributing to the continuation of Hot Rod Motor-vaton=Lol!
Anybody body who meets or knows this guy will know that he has his heart in the right place!

Rad**** and four-thirteen are the first that come to mind to me who aren't already AMs. There are lots of folks out there who are worthy thats for sure.

Not sure why anyone would nominate me. I don't add that much to the HAMB and while I know that I've been to Iraq and back I'm not the only one on the HAMB to do so. Thanks for the nods but I withdraw, there are some folks on here that deserve it way more.
