    tensecsprint,

 I just rememberd one thing about police officers, this will not hold true for all offices. Three guys in my graduation class became cops and all three were assholes in high school. Power trip most likely.............

The cops didnt know you or your wife forgot to pay the ticket. You didnt, a warrant is issued because you broke the law. the dog being dead for 7 or 17 years has no bearing on the fact that you owed the money. They just did their job.

I was picked for jury duty some years ago and never got the notice. Im sitting at home on a Saturday with friends when a cop comes up and asks for me , I identify myself, he hands me a sumonds (sp) and I have to go to court and explain why the heck I didnt show up for jury duty. Was I pissed, nah, just deal with it and move on.

Its nothing personal in most cases, their just doing their job.

how the hell do you post freggin pics I keep on hitting the paper clip icon and nothing happens?

  6. Last time I got pulled over, I was nice to the cop.. my inspection had run out and one of the taillights the whole thing was going out when I hit the brakes - bad ground. He saw the bad inspection and asked me about it and I said "I guess you're going to have to give me a ticket, then" - in a nice way, not flip - and he said to the effect of well I'll see what I can do. Never said a word about the exhaust on the truck, the muffler had about half fallen off it at that point and it was a little loud.

He gave me a fix-it ticket for the taillight that gave me so long to have it inspected by a motor vehicle inspector or a police officer - the idea being that I couldn't take it to another cop to check the taillight without getting an inspection. I had a guy at the inspection shop check the light for me and got it inspected that week - fixing it consisted of running a wire out of the socket to the trailer plug ground - sent in the paperwork and the court dismissed it - I never even had to show up.

I figure if I'm nice to them and cooperate with them, I stand the best chance of getting just a warning - and if they caught me in the wrong, then they have to do their job too. Plus I don't want to be one of those idiots you see acting like a 4 year old who can't have a cookie in those "Worlds Wildest Police Videos" shows.

the paper clip icon should bring up a window with a few lines and the "browse" button next to them. you can browse your server from there and load a pic. they can't be too terribly big though. you could also put them on a site such as Photobucket and then copy and past the "image" line from the site and insert it into the test of your thread. make sense???

ah yes now the thing works, here it is, now I would'nt call it a freggin beater, and the reason the cop pulled me over was the tail lights seemed to be to close to the ground, after mesuring I was safe by a half an inch, the 7th charge was no wipers. somthing else is this is the same cop that nailed a year ago for street racing in my 56,
    he knew my name.

    Neat car.
I've definitely seen some much scarier lookin' shit driven to the HAMB Drags.LOL
Having a rep with the local fuzz for street racin' doesn't help matters.
Pops had a chopped T-bird that had a rep that would get 'im stopped almost every time he pulled it out.

I was kinda wondering why he didn't get a ticket for no front plate, but I guess fibbing about the vehicle in question answered that.... If anything about this thread is true, I'll bet that it is this, you probably got exactly what you were asking for. I doubt you were out in a RPU last night in North Colorado, but if you were, you must have a hell of a heater in that thing.

quitcher bitchin - my experience is that most cops don't start looking for multiple infractions unless the driver is a major TIThead - insolence may wear well hangin' wit' yer buds....but it's a dead end with John Law - you, as a driver, have NO LEVERAGE whatsoever...the extent of the officer's inspection is largely based on YOUR attitude...not whether he "got any" last night or anything else. Rat rod does NOT mean RATTY....if you car is so bad he found several items to cite you on, get real and get it fixed.
