Jesse James is jacking up the price of my 54 chevy

Went to a car show on Sat, and I drive a chopped 54 chevy, and a whole bunch of jackasses wanted to buy my car. I called one guy, and told him $11,500 which is completely oputrageous, and he is actually considering it. Not only did the Jesse James phenomenon ruin iron crosses for me, but now my chevy? WTF. I guess I can't blame him though, it is the sheeple that ruin it.

 

Why is the fact that your car is now worth more "ruining" you?

 

I'm just bitching for the sake of bitching really, kind of boring at work today. I do get tired of everybody yelling "Jesse James" whenever I drive anywhere though. If somebody buys my car because of it, cool.

 

I was wondering the same thing... there are a ton of those chebbys in my neck of the woods. Take the money while they're still HOT.

 

Yeah, I hope he buys it. There aren't very many around here, but I'm sure that will change.

 

Man sell, sell, sell. You can get whatever you want with that much, Hell you can get 2...

 

Oh, you know what I've got in it, and what is wrong with it. I'd be crazy not to sell!

I can see where the trend-riding TV rodders would easily liken your car to Jesse's, and want to own it...but if you have ANY reservations about selling it, then don't cave in. The fad will pass, and they'll all turn their noses up at your nasty old heap once more and all will be right with the world again!!

(Unless you were actually WANTING to sell it and get into another project...if so, then no time like the present!)

 

An old friend said one time about being able to get a lot of money for some car of his and he turned it down, " Thats where two fools met, one for offering and the other for not taking it". Just think what you could do with the next one. But if you dont want to sell it I wouldnt. I have been offered money for my 48 Chevy coupe, its nothing special but I have done a lot it and I just dont want to sell it. But if some fool offered a stupid amount for it I would run out and buy another. Just my 2.5 cents.....Danny

 

I had some Hispanic guy in a Land Rover offer to buy my Chrysler at a gas station a few months ago, while it was being dragged up onto a flatbed after the battery died no less, and when he asked how much I wanted I said something like $1500 more than it's really worth, and he said "Yeah I'll buy it for that! Lemme give you my number!"

well the only thing that really bothers me is that people will say that "hey you got one them cars like Jesse James" well you know what I saw Jesse's car for the first time on the fuck'n autozone comercial but people will still say that its modeled after it. Chopped 54 and 53 chevy's will have that stigma for awhile and if you ever wanted one you better find one fast cause you won't be able to afford one for awhile. 57 chevy's are the same way everyone thinks they where hand built from one solid peice of gold or titanium. This will be very unpopular but I'd much rather drive a chopped up 50-54 than drive anything from the tri year models (same breath......I wouldn't turn down a free one) oh well Kluge kleine Katzen kratzen keine Krokodile.

I dont know about ya'll, but most people I hear that are talking about Jesse James allways are refering to his bikes, not his cars.

I'm glad that he's hooked up with AutoZone now. Maybe all of us can go in there and say, "We are " RATRODDERS " and we are like Jesse James and he is kool, so can we get a discount"?................lol........
