Change your HAMB nick to something without Radir in it. It'll help with the "healing" process.

Sucks to get "laid off" so near Xmas. Good luck.

I was "permanently laid off" in June, worked there for 8 years....

When one door closes, another one opens, it will work out. Stay positive.

Damn...that's crap at any time, but even more so at Xmas.
    Good luck for the future.

  17. dang! we had a company meeting on friday telling everyone that there was gonna be company wide layoff on feb. 2nd.

    happy holidays!

  18. Hey Jason: Never worked with you but always heard you were a stand up guy with great service.

It sucks getting laid off, but take this as an opportunity to move up and onwards. Given what HAMBers say about you, there should be no problem getting another job - with a company that will be around and treat you right. Don't be affraid to move and to find a company that takes pride in its people, has good benefits and is cool to work for . . . they're still out there.

You'll come out ahead on this deal . . . and you'll be glad you're gone from Radir.

Jason- Nice to meet you and I thank you for all you did for Rod and Kulture. For what it's worth, I have never had to look back after leaving a job. There is something better for you I'm sure. Besides..now you don't have to travel so damn far! Keep in touch.

Does Dick Radir still own the business? It appears that Radir was still using ad copy that I wrote in the '60's.

Looks like you have a lot of people giving you kudos for work well done. As the other dudes said, don't look back, take your great skills and move on to hopefully a better situation. Unless you have little kids, adults don't expect the usual pressure to have presents and stuff they can live just fine without. You have a H.A.M.B. community thinking good things for you, put your energy into positive searching and try not waste it on being bitter. What goes around comes around, I deleted a co. starting with R from my good guys list. Onward and upward. One of your support group.-Sololobo

Add under references on your resume a link to this thread. Good luck, sounds like you know your stuff and treat your customers right, and those qualitys are portable to almost every industry.

I know what you mean, I got laid off one time on Thursday Dec.22. That was the day before Christmas bonuses were handed out (fuck you Bob). Nice huh?
