Here's hoping the medical procedures work. I have friends still here today that have suffered head traumas. Horrible stuff. Modern medicine can work miracles sometimes. As a motorcycle commuter, i firmly believe that some car driver deserve to be pulled from their cars and beaten...to death in some cases...that goes for idiot bikers too. Meanwhile...I'm hoping for one of those medical miracles for Justin and all your family.
I have held off making any comments about the free beer p***ed out at hot rod parties and events because I know how mean and stupid some HAMBers can get when they think they are being attacked. What do you guys think? Is it always the other guy who hurts someone or himself? Do you think drinking all day then driving home isn't drunk driving? Do you think you are immune from this madness? Do you think you have the "right" because you "can handle" an afternoon of beer drinking? At the CHRR 2 years ago my wife saw a young woman doing something stupid, started to say something then realized she couldn't say anything to someone drinking her 3rd beer at 9:30 AM. When is it going to stop? Probably never because people are sure it is the other guy who shouldn't drink and drive. I had to learn the hard way myself, I'm just lucky I never caused someones death before I woke up and stopped drinking and driving.
My condolences, truly. But shades of Billy Lane, hasn't this been hashed a million times? There must be some Human Rights board where this discussion is more appropriate.

You have the right to hire an attorney to also work the case against the drunk driver. (you can in TX, so I am ***uming you can where you are) my brother was hit 8 years ago and is now in a chair, but thanks to God's grace he is still with us. the guy that hit him "walked" because the DA didn't have his facts right... or a jury just could't stand to put someone in jail and get them off the streets!
You are in our prayers! My sister was killed by a drunk driving the wrong way on a divided highway back in 85.
Sigh, I've been on the HAMB a long time and I've lost count of the times I've had to read posts like this. So sorry you have to experience this and I'm sorry there are people out there who are too arrogant or to stupid to realise that drinking and driving is just plain f'ing wrong. Danny

I had an aunt die from being hit by a drunk driver. it ****s to have to go through this all because someone wants to get drunk. i hope everything works out for eveyone involved. prayers sent.
