June 9 would be a good date for this Arkie, and if it's anything like Mick's Stray Kat 500, I'll be there.

  5. I'm in Denver, you can count me in, that is an easy drive and I get to see my buddy Jay (NoSurf)!

    Event Ideas -
Maybe a "Jalopy Show Down" type flattrack showdown!! Can you rent the local fairgrounds? or a farmers field? Where else could you go racing in a corn field!! What's a BBQ with out a little racing round?

    yea - count me in!!!!

This feed back is great, sounds like alot of you are after the same shows we are, I just wondered how many people would want to stay overnight provided we had an after party with a band? I think we could probably get a band or two for day and evening shows. everything is still in the works but right now i'm liking what i see, and for something that started out to be a cruise-in, it may very well be that and then some... so stay tuned. Ryan

Ft. Scott, KS show is Oct. 13, & 14 2007 and it is called "The Hop" Trying
to tie down the final loose ends on the Sock Hop. Once that is finished, I'll post more information.....

    Happy Trails,

Sinister13, the summer fills up quick so check out already set shows, try and find a venue with some shade. Those on the red-hot blacktop are no fun, if you have been to Salina KKOA show, its about as nice a venue as I've experienced. Great trees, grassy areas, easy access etc. The Cruzin the H.Land is also great with the pow-wow gounds, and I wish it had more shade. You have probably had these things in mind, just trying to mention stuff that has been important to us, The Roadburners of Omaha. Best wishes on the gig, your traditional hot rod friends/Sololobo for the Roadburners p.s. if you are thinkin bands, check out you spot and see if its a sun-baker also, sounds like we are afraid of the sun, you can bet my skin cancered ass is. Rock on!

I think I would have to try and make that show. Early June would be great. My wife is due early July so if its later in the month of June I wouldn't be able to make it.

Trying to do something like Ryan did out West with "The Revolution" wouldn't be such a bad idea.

What was "The Revolution" like? The venue we are trying to get located is an old 1950s park here in town that should hopefully have plenty of shade.

Ryan we haven't seen ya around lately;) Jeb's truck's finished....well, it was until the neighbor backed into it last night.

Will you please be sure that no one plays that horrible rotation of "oldies" that we hear all too often at car shows around here.

It would be cool too if it wasn't so centered around winning a trophy, just looking at great cars and having fun.

    Lots of beer too.

Hmmm... maybe somebody could bring a laptop and plug a cel phone into it to get some streaming Live365 station or something, like Octane 365 (run by a HAMBer). Maybe an iPod plugged into a boom box with a cassette adapter?
