What seems like yesterday - probably 2 yrs ago, there was a thread showcasing the comversion of a 32 4 door sedan to a 5 window coupe. I can't find any info on it. Does anyone have it?

This was a company who made the quarter panels, with the rear window and roof section. You just cut the more door off at the B-pillar and added the rear section.

The 34 was a real good example of what can be done by an experienced bodyman.

Maybe I should have ***led this - Show us your sedan to coupe conversions.

If you find yourself with an extra (or left over) right rear door window channel, I need one.

Here's a couple of pics I saved. There's a phone number on the ad.

Thats the exact pics I was talking about. Thanks for that.

I know its probably a long shot, but does anyone have any idea of the area code?

I remember seeing the car and flyer at Back to the Fifties in Minnesota, so maybe you'd want to try some Minneapolis area areacodes.

Incredible job but the proportions don't seem to look quite right. Or is it just me?

  9. I think it looks good from what it was. It might be a little short in the quarters though???

I saw that thread a while back and am still amazed. That coupe turned out great.

Looks a little bit off, but for about 1/10th the cost of a 5W body, you can turn a Fordor into the Deuce of your dreams. Helluva deal imo.

Exactly. It sure has me thinking.

Although, this is no easy feat if we were to try it ourselves. I saw one half-finished on egay last year that was extremely hacked up and given up on. It's quite a job, but they also tried to do it all themselves from scratch.....crazy.

It looks to me as if the roof over the rear window is a bit " fuller " than a real 5W, but a sensational job, wouldn't I love to be able to do that kinda work.

Yeah, it's got more vertical area between the door top and where the "bubble" of the top starts.

I dunno. I think it's actually pretty close. It looks like the roof of the "pieced-together" car has been chopped, making that section of the roof seem taller.

    What do you think?
