    Holy shit.

    Congrats on being here still....

You never know when your time is up, but smelling a lot of gas could be seen as a bit of a warning sign.

    Those photos are insane.

My thoughts and condolences go out to your co workers that weren't so lucky.

    Tommy,
I'm glad you are okay. Looks like the man upstairs was watching out for you. I'm sorry to hear about your coworkers.

    "Was anyone hurt?"

He said three of his co-workers were killed. My prayers also go out to the families of those workers.

holy fuck, i think i just shit a little...i can't even imagine how you must be feeling. glad you're ok, you never know when your number will be called though.

just makes you wonder, if there was that strong of a smell, how it went so far as to be allowed to explode. it just seems like negligence to me...

Saw this on the news this morning and then later in the day. Glad you were out of there when it happened. Supposedly they had a good safety record.

OH MY GOD! thats HORRIBLE. the looks on the people's faces realy kinda choked me up a little. there expressions made it very real for me and not just some thing you see on the news from some far away place. a real shame that it was a fatal incident but it is amazing, to me, that only 3 people were killed concidering all the damage. it realy puts things in perspective.

  16. Holy shit! That's no small explosion. Glad to hear you made it out and are OK. Sorry to hear about your coworkers who weren't so lucky.

    Hang in there.

Wow man, that's unreal. I'm real glad you made it out of there. The man upstairs didn't call your number yet.

Real sad for the fellas that didn't get out though. That's gonna be tough for their families, especially around the Holidays. Prayers to their families in this time of grieving

Glad you made it out okay, sorry for the loss of your co-workers. I also work in a factory as I'm sure a lot of folks on here do. Everytime I see a factory explosion on the news I always wonder if it could happen at my plant?

What a horrific expereince that must have been, and I can only imagine what must be going through your mind since then...

This is horrible. I lost a co worker in an industrial accident a few months ago. i cant believe what it would be like to lose so many along with the building I work and my vehicle.
Man i'm sorry to hear this.

:( WOW, I'm so sorry to hear the news. My prayers to the familes who were killed.

It's "Safety Week" at work this week and every day I "have" to watch a video and listen to a lecture regarding some safety type issue. Being normally busy, sitting for an hour watching something I think is unneccessary has been hard but then seeing and hearing something like this makes me stop and think, WOW it could happen to anyone (me) at any time. My heart goes out to you and the rest of your co-workers for having to go thru something like this.

Most know but it bears stating, gas does not have a smell and thats why they add the rotten egg smell so it can act like a warning. The supervisors were so wrong in not getting everyone out as soon as it was notciced. What a terrible burden they will have to live with for the rest of their lives.:(

Still your a HAMB'er. the god of speed would only allow you to go out screaming WOOOHOOO at 150 miles an hour in a well used old rod.

Condolenses to the families of those hurt or killed.

I felt it miles away at my house.

Couldn't watch the news last night after I saw the pics of the children whos dad was killed. Gut-wrenching. Love your wife and kid as much as you can, Man. Life is precious.

  28. Glad to hear you and several others escaped in time. My condolences go out to the families of those lost.
Was this the Falk Corporation that makes gearing and couplings? If so, that had to be one huge blast with all the metal in the products.
