Check this thread out: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?p=1636535 Here's the important part: Sure beats over $1k for the kit that I've seen out there. At least this gives us guys on the tight budgets the ability to buy the rotors, calipers, etc at our leisure, and at the store of our choice. ~Jason
Yeah, scarebird is awesome, I've been a fan since before he even started posting here. Thank god for guys like him making safety so affordable that it's not an option...
Man, you always find the best stuff when you're strapped. I have to wait until the tax return comes in before I snag my set. Bummer. I was all excited, too. Until then, I guess I can live with pictures of Scott's. ~Jason
I'm down for getting a set also. Theres nothing like the affordability that he offers for disc brake conversions. -Nick
Would that also fit a 55 Caddy? I would love to put an affordable disc setup on the front for better stopping power in todays crazy roadways
Hi, I've just joined here and I'm real interested in getting the disc set-up for my four '59 Caddies. I need two for "driver" cars and two for hotrods ( a 'Coupe deVille and the "El Cadillino" ). Let me know if the kit you mentioned is available. Thanks.
Dude - talk to Scarebird on here (that's his user name on the HAMB) or do a search for Scarebird on eBay - he has an eBay store. I also think his site is http://www.scarebird.com He's a hell of a guy - you'll like him. That was a while ago - prices may have slightly gone up, but you'll have to talk to him about that. ~Jason And don't forget to tell your friends about the other stuff he has for sale!
No problem, man. Scarebird rocks, and I send as many people as I can his way - individuals AND businesses. His products help a lot of people in need, and fill a gap some of us didn't even know was empty. ~Jason
Checked there earlier, he mentions the existence of the kit in a listing for his early caddy kit, 46-54, but no pics of the actual set up. I'm sure he'll get a pic up eventually, thanks.
