Was averaging 35-40 deg. today,....low 20s at night,....of course this is when i have time to work!! COLD!!!:(

Decided to say to hell with the adjustable spring perch idea,....i'm never happy,...so i did a fixed mount. 99% boxed frame thus far,....still have two small areas to take care of,....
Also, I fabbed up my tank mounts and got my tank in the mail a few days ago,....

    Lightening holes rule!,......:D

    wow,....thanks guys,....

or should it be "tanks" guys!!,.....damn that was gay!!

Yeah i was tempted to do a tech article on them, but didn't think them worthy,...I just admire what guys like Bob Bleed and others are doing,....try to keep humble,....well, if anyone's interested I can do one on them,.....

    Thanks again...much appreciated

oh and everything was done with a straight grinder, angle grinders, and a good drill! Lord willin', after I get the garage built out, I'll be really getting some good tooling, slip rolls, band saw, etc....dad used to be a sheetmetal worker by trade, now welder,.....as am I by trade.

what are you cutting with? I don't think my smoke wrench could turn stuff out like your rear spring mount!

    HA!!!! :D

I'm actually proud to say I cut it all out with a 6" Metabo angle (and straight)grinder fitted with a 6" cutting disc,...the straight grinder fitted with a 2"-2.5" cutting disc. That and a drill with some hole cutters, etc. Have a torch outfit, but my Oxygen bottle is empty currently, so that was out, though I recently wowed some cats on the job by beating out a guy that was using a plazma cutter to hack apart some I-beams.....guy's been at the job like 15-20 years,...he didn't like that much...LOL!!!

Yeah so I have some finer things I do when I cut out stuff, finish it, etc. Just found a way to get edges REAL nice,....like a polished smooth edge, using an angle grinder, takes some serious time, like sculpting,....I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you!
I'm always toying with the idea of doing fab work more and more on the side and maybe if all goes well, making it a semi-full time biz....Lord willin' that is.
