I've been lookin for a suitable oil tank for a Harley WL I'm building. Don't want to use any obvious aftermarket "chopper parts" & had a hard time finding tanks from other bikes that look good and fits my bike... Of course I could build one myself & make it the way I wanted it, but I'd rather use some other old part and make it fit my application...

Got to think if there was something else I could use for a oil tank & thought about vacuum tanks... So does any of you guys have pics or ideas of a vacuum tank that might work? Should be about 9" x 6" or something like that, preferably rectangular but still a little "round & bulky"... As long as the shape is nice it's not a problem if it's too big, just "cut to fit"... But I have limited myself to only use parts that were avalible up to -62-63, so it's gonna have to fit that time frame...

I always thought these were cool looking. From the twenties, I think. When I found this one that an old hot rodder had chrome plated back in the day...I just had to have it. (it helped that it was cheap):D
