wireless telegram from mid cali gas station to hamb. hamb come in....well, after alex found a new alternator to be a bad alternator we made our way out of san jose.alex's poncho has got more gear than the wagon with the muncie, so I'm just calling on the sbc to sing a little louder. she carries a good tune.... about 200 miles to go....-scott noteboom
something about a road trip.... desert cool air. window down so my turnsignal will work to change lanes. the hole from my manual trans shifter hole cut worked great tonight.... half way clear skies, 3/4 moon on my left, gambino's catalina headlights in my rear view. his car looks bad***- twice as fat and twice as low as all the others and the headlights just glow more soul... then the old johnny bond song hot rod lincoln comes on the sirius radio hidden in the wagon. we made it.
If it's a normal plastic/nylon oil line to your gauge(?) just melt the end with a cigarette lighter for today. If it's copper, fold it in half and pinch it a little w/pair of ****s. If it's neither, tell me to go away! I wish i was at the host hotel w/everybody, but i'm waiting for Squeek to drop off my new project here. I'll post pics after the party. I'll be at Mooneyes around 10AM
Alex, I'm glad you guy's made it! I hope you have a good time and don't have any more problems for the rest of the week end, and i hope the altenator we put in before you took off lasts longer than the last one! Hey Scott, good to hear you made it down with out any problems also. Keep us posted on all the fun you guy's are havin'! Take alot of pictures for us back home. Good luck with the weather down there, see ya guys next week!
Just rolled in from the show. Met Alex and Noteboom and glad to see they made it there safe! Super kool dudes in my book. If you 2 read this, kool meeting you both! KNUX!
I'm glad to hear all went well and you guys made it safe. Look foreward to hearing all about it next week.
when i drive bombs couldnt stop me,let alone snow & ice!heck i want to drive from pamona to detroit in 07 in the winter in the **** you 54 more on that later
Took a little longer to get home last night than to get back, as on the p***es (g****vine and 152) it was raining pretty damn hard. No problems though as our cars are used to seeing everything cause we drive them a lot. Even in rain, it's the trip that makes the destination... Met a lot of HAMBers at the show... thus met a lot of good guys. Aside from the fact that the line in ****ed and the Mooneyes seemed to only be interested in making money and let everybody with a $20 park in the car show (i pulled in with a primer '70 Nova and a guy with a sweet robotic billet hood ***emby that revealed a bad *** fully billet mill,) i thought the event was cool. Lots of good folks, and lots of cool cars..... and drag racing as well. The Los Boulevardo's and BBQ crew ruled. Those guys treated us like family at the BBQ... fed us well, offered us a roof if we needed it, and were real cool. Got to hear some good stories, see some cheap entertainment and hang with a bunch of good folks. In return, you guys always have a home and family in San Jose.... by the way.... i've heard this morning that im officially on Suzi Gambino's hit list (that's Alex's wife) for referring to *her* car as Alex's. Before I get a black eye the next time I see her, I officially stand corrected..... Alex drove SUZI'S car -scott noteboom
