Hey fellas, we have been really picky about adding venders to the Alliance list. And although there are still a few vendors that we have been targeting that we can't get to commit yet, we do have a couple of new guys this month. Here they are: 1. Hanksville Hot Rods - Hank does some crazy **** with a fancy mandrel bender. He's giving some nice discounts to folks that need tubing bent for headers, exhaust, roll cages, etc... 15% off! 2. Rally America - Finding a reliable source for steel wheels is hard to do... We took the work from ya and found these guys. They do a great job for decent prices and alliance members get 10% off. For more information on these and other Alliance discounts, click here. For information on the Alliance, click here. Thanks fellas!
I hope their membership brings them new business as it has to O'Brien Truckers and the other Alliance Venders I have talked to. Welcome aboard guys! Dennis & Sue O'Brien
The guys at Limeworks are great to deal with. Their parts are top quality and the customer service is second to none as far as my experiences go. Hope you get them on board.
No, we make our own covers but Kevin and ours both have two very different looks to them, Neither is really better than the other, just different, so now you can choose whichever style you like best and get those. Jimmy
I know I'm dragging up an old post, but I wanted to make some suggestions for companies that I deal with a lot and have had good service with... Egge (you all know who that is) Hot Hemi Heads Research PAW Performance Automotive Warehouse MAS (local to me, but you see the ads in EVERY magazine)
I called Coker yesterday about tires for my shoebox, and the guy on the phone didn't know what the HAMB Alliance was.
Big A, call back... must have been a new sales guy... If all else fails, PM Eric Hawkins @ Coker Tire
Thanks Ryan, will do. I think the S.F.C.C. is planning a road trip up there in a month or so, I'll get in touch with Eric before we go.
Why don't these guys have a website? Why don't YOU have a website? I bet one of the HAMBers here could help you set up something simple. You have a good name around here, but you should let others know about you. MAS has had the same ad seems like 20 years, but I never even called them on the phone till I joined the HAMB. Nowadays people tend to not trust somebody without a website. Just an e-mail address isn't enough. It's OK if you have a specific question, but many times I've clicked on links here and saw something I want and wasn't even looking for. Just my two cents.
I don't have a website because I'm just starting out...I tend to not push things too fast...I want to ease into this and maybe 10 years down the road make a full-time business out of it...as far as MAS not having a website or an updated catalog, who knows what their deal is...they have good stuff for the price, and from what Fiddy tells me they'll spend hours on the phone to get you what you need...I always just drive up there and talk to them in person, so I'm a little spoiled with that...hahaha...
I'd be surprised if Steve did'nt do it.alotta his stuff is aimed at what we do............he lives this ****!
Well , now that I'm an alliance member it is time to support our venders so I ordered a set of wheels from rallyamerica and tires from coker. what a great thing this is going to be to have our own little network of honest people helping hard working people. I think this is going to be a great thing for everyone. So far I do business with 3 venders and have only been an alliance member for about a month. Great Idea Ryan ! And just when you think life and the H.A.M.B can't get any better !
I had the same thing. Then when I explained it, he couldn't find me. Said he would call back in a few minutes but never did. Had good luck with Matthew when I called back to order...
I gotta do some measuring this week, I was hoping that Rally America would become a vendor, I got some spiffy Cal Custom spiders than need some REAL reversed chromies behind them.
Man, I don't know who you guys are getting but they must not pay much attention arond here.... If this happens again let me know as soon as possible, we want to make sure and take good care of our customers and if someone never called you back I need to get that took care of asap.
"MAS has had the same ad seems like 20 years, but I never even called them on the phone till I joined the HAMB. Nowadays people tend to not trust somebody without a website." I agree! I finally called MAS, after reading some feed back here, and ordered a custom bent, 7" dropped axle for my '46 Chevy (the king pin inclination angle is different from the cars). I received it 2½ weeks after I ordered it and all the angles & the drop were perfect. They also sent a catalog (their latest) from 1984, with a note saying they were working on an updated catalog and to call for current prices. Great product, but they might want to work on their business plan.......
