Tried three different places, noone will touch it. Need power steering hose rebuilt on my 60 T-Bird with 430 engine. Anyone know a good rebuilder close to Pennsylvania.
If all else fails ,send me a picture and I'll take it to the shop around the corner. he has never told me no. If he can make one,you can ship me the old parts as a guide and I'll get it built for you. TP
many company's in fear of liability, I use NAPA and truck / farm parts suppliers and tell them it is for a off-road vehicle (lawn tractor, etc.) and I usually get what I need done.
Can you use that fitting that converts the line from inverted flare to AN Then all you need to do is make a line I have some of those fittings if you need one
NAPA . we werw in Boweling Green this year for the HHR and the pressure side power steering hose brokeon the '65 ford wagon,we went to every auto parts store there same story "our computers don't go back that far. we took the hose off found the NAPA store none of them would tell us about an had a new and made . so NAPA is our choice. it worked for us. good luck
Ditto on NAPA, especially the ones in outlying farming communities. The ones in the metro area around here just want to sell parts for the most part, but if I go to the one in a little town about 20-25 miles south of here, they'll make anything I need.
Got coal mines in your area of PA? Here in WV, alot of the mining supply shops custom build all kinds of hydraulic lines, I had the local one make a set of PS for one of my cars in the past. Nothing flashy, just cheap and solid. They didn't ask any questions...
