OK, OK, you got me. I just realized that this was the "last" show of the year, bummer!!!! See ya next year. BadBob are you up for the Lonestar Round up in Austin in March 2007??? Do or die.
Great day, other than the line to get in and the toilet line. No one at the HAMB tent when I called, signed the banner anyway. Met Chilli Phil. Are there any unchopped shoebox Fords left?
We had a great time, there were some lines to be sure, but not all that bad. We got there around 8 am, got in line and went right in. The place was packed. The racing was cool, saw a lot of bitchen cars, some junk too, but not as much on purpose stupid stuff as in the past.
Ok SHORTDOG I saw the pic lol I just couldn't take my eyes off the drag racing but I did go back after awhile and saw norm and shoebox look's awsome.
over all a great turn out after waiting close to a hour and a half to get in the gate it was cool, seen a shit load of new kustoms i haven't seen before. i can only imagine what next year will be like.
It was a great time, and it was awesome to see everyone again from the HAMB Chop. There was so much to see, and so much to do. Next year, im bringing a BBQ and beer.
Great pics thank's , I wish i could have been there . I made a joke earlier about going even if my boss fired me , well If I did'nt show up that's just what would have happend . Keep the pics coming it helps ease the pain . Buzz Bomb
I drove to Irwindale from Mission Viejo faster than it took me to get down Live Oak Dr. through the gate. I actually liked it better last year at the academy. I vote for another new place in 2007. On an up note, I saw a lot of old friends I haven't see in awhile and finally met face to face with the LBCC. Damn, these are the nicest guys. My wife and I both were really impressed and was sorry we couldn't make it to the BBQ. Next year we'll pay the babysitter some extra dough and plan to go.
Great location that just needs a lot better job of organizing. I was LUCKY to get in. I almost turned around to come back a couple hours later. GLAD i didn't. Anyway, i was there from 10AM to just about 5PM, but judgeing from the pictures, i missed a lot of stuff. So, i guess i'm saying THANKS for the pictures, one helluva goodbye to 2006 party! And let's not forget the incredible weather. I got up to hit Long Beach swap meet at 6AM, my buddy's water pump died, came home, went back to sleep, just got up and started thinking, that's was some fucking party yesterday! Thanks to all at Mooneyes for sure. I was talking to Chico yesterday and he looks at me, says where in the hell am i going to do this next time?
Hey Gambino (good New York Italian name), i hope one day we'll meet. Your work shown here looks great. I see by all these posts you were there (Mooneyes), and i think you parked right next to me on Sunday at the Primer Nats.
Hey Buzz, It was too bad you couldn't make it, I was looking out for you. I saw your homies there though (you guys were well represented). Well there always the Suede Palace at the Grand National Show. Put in early so you can get the day off. P.S. Do you know what happened to Eddie G. ? He told me that he was gonna have a booth there and i didn't see him there...
Man I would have loved to go, I went two years ago on accident when I was in that area for a funeral, but I will make the trip from up here next year for sure!
Great pics, thanks for posting them. Anyone got some more pics/info on the 42b roadster? That would be really cool.
Thanks to all the guys who stopped by and signed the banner. Saw some new names. Wish I could have been there and met you guys, when you stopped by. I was walking around checking out the cars, and the racing. Saw alot of new cars I haven't seen before. Anybody catch that purple Bantam getting ALL four off the ground,in the run-off area? size 34 Hanes anyone?
Dillion, looks like santa read your mind and sent you your gift a little early.....Next time you put your arm around her and your hand at about five O'clock!
