I sold the 28 to Lurker Kris ( I forgot to ask if he was just a lurker or a member) and took in a partial trade.

It's a 31 Pick Up with the top cut off. It's kinda goofy, but it has alot of really cool parts. When I first saw it I thought it was stupid , but as I looked at it I realised it has some potential.

The body is pretty hacked up and the home made box is akward, but the frame is nicely boxed. it has a drilled 47 Ford front axle and split wishbones, the rear is a 57 chevy with chrome coils and ladder bars. Eveything on the frame is detailed really nice.

The coolest part is the 57 Buick Nailhead that was pulled out of an old 40 Ford Hot Rod. It has a Chev 3 speed adapted to it and a dual quad intake. It also came with an old Mallery Mini-mag and has ULTRA RARE Hurst front motor mounts. It almost has everything it will need to get put on the road.

I've got big plans for this thing and I plan to "DeGay" it in the next few weeks. I will have lots of updates.

Anyway, I have't slept in a couple days cause my mind is racing with ideas. I am excited about this car and hope to turn it into something special. Thought you might like to see it.

I will miss the sedan as I was starting to get used to driving a car with a roof, but that thing was kind of a cookie cutter (Although a pretty nice one), and now I can be creative.....

    Bleed,

That things hot... I like it a lot better than the sedan.

Somehow you seem to make more progress in a week than I do in a month.

Anyway, I've got an air cleaner that would look sweet with those valve covers. Check your classifieds post for a pic.

My dads a bone has a 364 in it, and it has those Hurst front motor mounts on it also, Are they really rare? it has a aluminum flywheel and a aluminum bellhousing for a Saginaw tranny on it too.

  19. The funny thing is that I hunt for old cars all around the U.S. and I live 8 miles away from Bob and I can't find a deal to save my life...!

And Bob has these things dumped in his lap from next door!! [IMG]

Think I'll just save some time and shop at his bodyshop!!! [IMG] [IMG]

I searched and searched for Hurst mounts for the Bleedster and couldn't find any, so I think they're rare cause I am usually good at finding stuff.

Bleedster has to wait for this thing to get done. I want to finish it, but to do it right I need a pile of money. It will be done by the time it is nice enough to drive.

This Pick Up will be awsome though. Wait till you see the shifter I scored for it!!!

Thanks for the encouragement, I'm pretty excited about this one............

Huh, I guess maybe those motor mounts aren't so rare afterall, seeing as all you goofs got them. HaHa

Do the new ones say Hurst on them? Is that guy making them for other engines?

To be honest, the pictures do the body justice. It's pretty messed up. Not for long though.

Does anyone have any Nicson or Cal Custom scoops for me?

It's not my fault I don't sleep, I'm kinda fucked up.

  28. Bob i wont that seat for my stratrod (street rat rod for those not up on the lingo) It will look good and we will look good sitting in it with our pink Rad shirts on. You are great. That is a cool stratrod except for the nailhead should not be used in that application with that nice of a seat in your ride. Call me if you need help removing the seat or that hideous engine from your area. I love Chris and I love Gracie too.

  29. Wonder how my roadster body would look on that frame after you De-Gay it?????? [IMG]
