I took a little field trip Friday night to hang out with my home slice monsterflake down in St. Louis.

We went to Bill Bierman's Christmas party where I ran into some more HAMBers like Little Nicky, Inkorekt, King Chassis, St. Louis Gasser, and a couple others that I can't recall right now.

All I have to say is that the "Freakshow" is fucking awesome!
There is an "original" chopped truck right next to it for reference.

Saturday, We took a field trip to see "Decent Butch"

Everyone was bitching about his "Sleigh Rod" that was on e-bay so I guess we don't need to show pics of that. I thought it was pretty cool though. He drives it every year to raise money for needy kids so I guess that is better than bitching on the internet.

He also has some other cool stuff. Check out the twin blowers on the T. Yes it does run and yes they are real!

He also has his version of the "Druid Princess". It has twin motors and he made just about every piece on it like he does all of his cars. He makes his own tube axles and everything. The twin motor car also has tow trannies that go to an axle with two diffs in it. He said one side is open and the other has a spool that is used mainly to couple them together. It too is going to be a driver. The upholstery isn't finished in it quite yet.

He also has a 1910 Chevrolet Doctor's coupe in the corner that he is going to built for his wife. He got a pretty hot SBC for it but she doesn't want to have anything to do with that. She wants a straight six in it so that is what it will get.

I had a great time at the christmas party. Was nice to meet Plowboy, Nick32vick and Inkorect. And to see Monsterflake too. Man when you guys came to look at the twin blown bucket you were about 5 miles from my house. You could have come by and seen my dragster project and me throwing up in the front yard. Sure was drunk out Fri. nite in st.louis. And yes, Nick does look like a bad ass with the cigar.

Everyone here must be younger than I think they are, cause my first thought was "Isn't that kid with the cigar on my son's football team? What the hell is he doing smoking?"

    Damned old age.

Rusty, all of that stuff is right in St. Louis. PM Monsterflake or King Chassis, they may play tour guide for you.

The Pink truck is at creative customs, a shop on the north side. The weirdo cars belong to Butch. They are in his dinky garage with no insulation. That dude really makes stuff from NOTHING.

That bucket ended up taking up a fair bit of memory in my camera @ Rockin' Rods '06. Damned coolest car there, IMHO. :)

That beast sounds awesome at idle, I'd love to hear it wide open someday.

I talked to Butch at the frog follies a couple of years ago, seemed nice.

Weird stuff, for sure, but you gotta appreciate the engineering involved.

I've heard the green dual-blown T bucket, it sounds wicked.

it was like the players ball last friday, including random gunfire and a little dog 'fighting', if you wanna call it that. ;)

decent butch had 2 cars mentioned/pictured in the 'WTF' thread, i guess nobody had pictures of the Druid Twincess yet. butch never stopped building cars like that, he's been at it since the 70's, just waiting for the bus to come back around to his stop.

i almost faded out on the King of Cottage Hills (nick g) and the Bethalto Baron (nick32vic). i remembered to invite'em at about 6:00 friday night. D'OH! good thing they don't have a life, they were able to squeeze us in their busy social calender.

Mad Dog (inkorect) failed to live up to his epic drinking performance from the hamb drags, but my wife was relieved that no one threw up in the sink. maybe next year, honey!

dirty, give me a shout when you get close, i'll be glad to give you the stl tour...

That St Louis tour is a good time when you have a great guide like Monsterflake and his crew. He took me to Biermans shop when I made the trip down to buy his "60 " Chevy sedan and they were in high thrash mode about a week before SEMA to finish Freakshow. What an incredible piece of work !!! Flake thanks again for the tour, and still love the "60" Later Gary
