Don't get your panties in a bunch, they're his words not mine. I just thought you guys might be interested in this--- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/True-1950s-Rat-Rod-1930-Ford-Roadster-hot-street-gasser_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ39405QQihZ019QQitemZ290061855977QQrdZ1QQtcZphoto
Wow, that thing is cool. I'd think the header dumping right into your face would tend to smoke you out after a whlie, though.
E-mail 'em to me and tell me what size they need to be .. I'll do it. thevintagetruck at repairman.com
Uh-oh! Does this mean there was a such thing as a 50's "ratrod"? Even if they didn't call it that, it sure looks to be ratty. IE. bomber seats, no sign of glossy paint etc. Some traditionalists may not like to see this.
what a killer ride. I'd love to see photos of that thing in it's hayday..someone has to know the car.
Hmmmmmm.Nice a, well damn,Thats a cool uh , r, r ,r ,ra, ra, ra,spit it out, you know, thats a cool old ra, ra, ra, rod. yea a cool old rod . this car should be left as is.There is only one way it got to look the way it did and to change it would be a shame.
Sitting by the scrap pile, this thing looks like a diamond being pulled out of a turd ... (man, these file size limits are pretty stringent ... the only reason this took so long is because i had to crank up the compression rate like 4 times. )
looks like someone who knows hot rods already got to it though. The cad-lasalle trans, bomber seats, and y-adapter is gone. Still cool ride though, and I've seen rougher cars.
man... NEEEEDS a lotta work... not to mention those flattys usually are in need of SERIOUS $$$ and machine work to run again if they ever can.. good luck to whomever goes down that path.
Those photo's are amazing. The photos make you wonder what else was in the barn with it. You can see another body in front of the car. CBB
Looks like I may have opened Pandora's box, but as are friends in the media say, I don't write the news, I just report it!
Battery's probably dead. Reminds me of the 30-31 Roadster by my house with the nailhead, split 'bones and juice brakes sitting on a trailer outside next to a '39 Merc droptop. Alas, those are not for sale. Good to know somebodys willing to save it that one.
Maybe it's a glass car just made to look old, I'll bet there's a sbc under those caddie heads. This guy's good!
"Looked like a diamond being pulled out of a turd" Well....maybe a peanut being pulled out of a turd. That doesn't mean the peanut's not still good though. A $4,000 dollar peanut at that!
