Paul Kelly, the famous Australian custom car builder has been taking loads of photo's from cars at every car show he has been to. Both in Australia and in the US.
Paul has been very bussy scanning a large portion of his collection to share them on my Custom Car Photo Archive site.

Here are a few from Paul's US trips in the 90's ... and more will folow.

Rik, thanks for posting, great as always.

These are the first pics I see of the Bradley-designed '50 Ford after the feature in Rod & Custom. The sketches were first published in Street Rodder back in '83 or so, and it was so cool to see that someone made them real. Awesome car.

  8. That sectioned '50 is amazing. What was the donor for the roof?

Rik, I always enjoy seeing pics of my old 40 Merc, even tho Doug Hall owned it when Paul took that photo.

    Thanks again, great collection.

  10. Can't say I've heard of Paul Kelly, but his photos sure do show how much some design ideas can "date" in just a short amount of time and yet others look like they could have been built yesterday OR....50 years ago.

  11. Nice bunch of pictures! Looks like a lot of those were taken at Paso Robles.

Is this the "Paul" from New Zealand who worked for Donn Lowe a while back? If so, he was a memeber here when I joined, so many years ago. NZtinbender or something was his handle.

Not as far as I know... Paul Kelly is from Australia.

His best known custom is probably this Hudson...
(photo's from http://www.ldikustoms.com.au where this Hudson was painted)

Rik, thanks for the great pix. There aren't many Hudsons that can get me excited but this does. Fabulous flowing lines in keeping with the tradition of the 50 Merc's. I hope we will see more of his pictures. Keith
