    Modern Traditional?

I like these better that the Billet Bombs out there. I was just wondering if there is a "cl***ification" other than hotrod for these cars.

These cars have the cl***ic look but have modern size wheels and even one-off wheels.
This one belongs to Royce Glader built by Pinkee's.

    I hate labels.
I love the cars. Beautiful and very expensively built.

  3. The RPU is definitely bad-***. Where is there more info on this one?

I do not care for the overall look of the first one (posies) but the second one I believe is one of the most beautiful cars I have ever seen in person.

    Semantics makes hot rods boring.

  7. Would they be more 'hot rod' if they were flat black? They're rods, just very well done rods.

  9. Maybe not traditional in the strictest sense, but refined without being over-done. Lots of ideas, esepecially the bracketry, seats, pedals, rear suspension, etc.,etc. Wonder what something like that would cost?

Now that you say that I think I agree. Utimately I think if I had the dough I would definatly build a car like these.

I think modern traditional is a good term for them but Im really not a fan of cl***ification either. They are beautiful machines though.

  16. Is this what Rod & Custom tried to label "newstalgia" a few years back? A mix of new and nostalgia?

Yeah, but in the same sense isn't the ratrod-craze cashing in on 50's hot rods. So you cold leave out the ratrod and call it Cashing-in-on- the-50's-hot rod-craze-billet-rods.

    Man, my head hurts.

It's like they are regular rods you would normaly see painted flat but now they took a bath and are all cleaned up.

Got the good suit on, nice shoes, brushed there teeth ect.

  22. I've always said "I want to be different, Just like everyone else!"
when this whole retro, lobuck, old school, trad, rat rod, anti billet thing got rolling 10-12 years ago, I said every thing needs labels. and no matter what you do. If it's "COOL" others will follow and keep doing "IT" till it's not so cool anymore. Also said that the Gold Chainers (there's another label that is over used) will build $200,000 Rat Rods

so those above are "$200,000 BILLET RAT RODS" there now you have a label and can sleep tonight
