From incredible high to a low, RIP Jay

I called home to my wife, she told me my second eldest brother died today from a m***ive heart attack. Jay was 48.

I'm numb, it's too late and I can't drive the 550 miles to go home and hope to arrive alive myself. I've got nobody to be with me, this hurts more than it ****s. My world has been turned uside down.

I just saw him over Thanksgiving, I feel horrible that I held off calling him about the India thing, I was going to make all of my calls tomorrow.

I didn't get a chance to tell him or say goodbye. I'm shattered.

I love you Jay.

 

I am sorry to hear about your brother. My younger bro is 48, also, and he and I have been best friends our whole lives. You're in my prayers.

Way to many of these post lately! I'm sorry for your loss and those of the other HAMBer's who have lost family and friends this time of year.

Man, I feel your pain. I lost my sister in 2000, she was 26. Hang tough Bro. It's gonna be a rough ride but if you need anything, let me know. There's nothing we can say or do to make this any easier.

i feel for ya man...i lost my uncle 2 1/2 years ago of a unforseen complication to surgery because of his alcoholism. last time i saw him before that i gave him **** about not even sobering up long enough to spend quality time with the fam and then just one day he's gone. it's really tough to lose someone like that when you are so far away, and it never really hits home...at least it still hasn't for me because i didn't get to see him often. my deepest condolences and i hope that you fare well in this time of sadness. we're here for ya man!!

I tried to call you tonight. I am so sorry. I wish I had more to say.

 

This may help,it has help me in the past...... One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was
walking along the beach with the Lord. Across the
sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene, he
noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one
belonging to him, and the other to the Lord. When
the last scene of his life flashed before him, he
looked back at the footprints in the sand. He
noticed that many times along the path of his life
there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed
that it happened at the very lowest and saddest
times in his life. This really bothered him and he
questioned the Lord about it. "Lord, You said that
once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all
the way. But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life, there is only one set
of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed
you most you would leave me." The Lord replied,
"My son, My precious child, I love you and I would
never leave you. During your times of trial and
suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it
was then that I Carried You."

 

I don't even know what to say to you my friend . I have a brother, one brother and the sun rises and falls with him , it tears my heart out to imagine it and to imagine it for you .... I am so sorry to hear such news . I am so sorry , ..Godspeed . . . swazzie

 

So sorry to hear this, but I do believe in a better place and from there he will know your love and prayers are with him as his are with you. Keep well and look after yourself.

Having lost two brothers myself I know how you are feeling at this time. It's hard to imagine learning to live with the emptyness, but time heals all wounds.
Your brother will be with you, in spirit, forever. Our condolences for your loss and I'll add you, and your family, to my prayers as well. Chin up my friend! Look to the good times you had together.

 

I lost my 32 yr old older brother in 2001, it's horrific!!! It totally gave me a different outlook on life: "Live life today, because you never know what tomorrow may bring".

All I can say is, stay strong......your brother will always be with you!!!
