Silly Question - What color will you NEVER paint a car?

I'd NEVER paint a car any shade of green other than emereld. As to pink, my dad was ailin' on new car pickup day and sent my mom down to pick out one of 3 new DeSotos he'd looked at in '55. She brought home the Pepto Pink with black top Firedome version... The old man kinda gritted his teeth when he saw it, but he'd told her to pick out the one she liked best. Over the course of a few months the color must've grown on him and years later he admitted that '55 was one of the best looking cars he ever owned. Even though I was only 4 when we got it, I remember that one real well and it seems very cool now.

I had a friend who painted his car Porsche Razzberry Red. Which is a cruel German joke for dark pink or magenta. He was one of those overly manly men so we teased him for months about that color being pink. He finally got fed up and repainted the car black. I'll bet he never paints another car any color by Porsche or any shade of red for that matter.

I have a gallon of what I call Mystery Machine Green that I keep threatening to use. It's the lighter of the two greens on the Mystery Machine. What can I say, it was FREE!

I swore when I bought my '34 I'd never paint it red. And so far the choice is British Racing Green.

Yellow, I own a car right now that the P.O. painted yellow. I hate it and people complament me on the color. The second would be red, to many resale red cars. Just not me.

wow, all the "traditional" colors are pretty much hated in some respect. Maroon, black, red, blue and green.

I like a deep Maroon or Blue (no metallic) and olive green.

Dislikes: red, black (gloss, semi or flat), Yellow, anything from the 80's and choral pink...and anything brown...including copper.

Tan. Desert tan, sand, light brown, mocha, or any variation there of!! I don't think I need to explain the extreme dislike of desert colored vehicles, do I?

Right now it's a shade of 26 year old, sitting in a barn, black. I'm lazy, so it can stay that color till i'm sick of it, or a good idea for paint pops in my head... whichever comes first.

I just wanna get home and drive it! This hum-vee sucks!!

For me it's red (overdone), silver (I don't like it) and white (makes a rod look boring).

I painted my 53 white. Never again. I saw spots for days. You could never tell if you were done.

That pinky-purple that some S10s and Cavaliers had in the mid 90's. Also, that copper orange crap that every goddamn new car on the road seems to have.

Red or white. Can't stand either of them. Mine's going to be 81 Mercedes China Blue. Looks like an old Ford color to me.

 

Yellow or orange, those are the ugliest colors ever, they shouldnt even be offered as a paint color
