Drove to Pennsylvania from Alabama and back this weekend to pick up this 30 Chrysler 77 that has had the front doors cut off to make it a two door. Got back Saturday and a guy called and wanted to know if I wanted an old Dodge truck cab he needed moved. He said it wasn't in too good shape and I could have it for small amount if I'd come and get it Sunday. Got over there and man the cab was in great shape and he also had the hood, grill and shell, fenders and boards. I don't ever get this lucky but two finds in one weekend what a rush. Couldn't wait so I put the chrysler together Sunday afternoon. What do you think?
I think you are way too lucky for one guy............you should give me the truck parts to make sure your luck stays good........really!
whats the wheelbase on that thing? strange, when i look at it, visions of matchbox cars are all i see.
That truck cab, hood and grill are not Dodge, they are 1934 to early 1937 International Harvester C series. Are the door all steel or wood cored. All steel is 1936-1937, the wood is 1934-early 1936.
Yea it is weeeird. But that's what makes it. The wheelbase is about the same as a 27 ford roadster and it is going to have a long hood. The one on it is too short. I think different is cool. Thanks T on the info on the truck i was going by what the old guy told me. I think it may have been a 1 ton. It must be a 34 because it has wood in the cab and doors. I'm not really sure what the Chrysler is but just my guess. Any more info on either on is good.
WOW! That reminds me of the old Bantam sedans - I can see the 1/4 mile now - parachute on the back and ........
All 1934-1937 Internationals have wood in the cabs, the doors is what they changed Probley was a 1.5 ton C-30 that seams to be the most common, i have 3, the cab, hood tops, sides and grills are the same between the 1/2 tons and 1.5 tons and even up to the C-35 i think, only the fenders, running boards and aprons are different body wise. Nice find.
Man, chop the sedan, stretch the front end, and slap a straight axle under the front. Drop in a blown caddy or hemi and you'd have a wild 60's g***er....
Another way you can tell if that cab was off a big trucks is if there is a hole on the DS roof and a mounting bracket inside for adjustable side mirror. Agian nice score.
I'm all over the g***er/dragster idea for the sedan. Seems the only way it's ever going to look right with the wheelwell intruding onto the door outline. I don't see any vents in the sides of the cowl, and thought that all chryslers had them, but could be wrong. Definitely a mopar from the accent lines. You are a lucky dog indeed.
Thanks built: That does look much better with the top chopped more. It has allready been chopped some. But because of the way the windshield is in the car it will have to be moved up to chop it some more. Right now there is only about 8" of windshield. Hell who needs to see out anyway. It is going to have to be done.
Is that my trailer that got stolen......LOL You need my 53 Chevy sitting in the shop now, want to trade on something ??
Hey man that`s my truck, It was stolen last week. Send it to me or i`ll call the cops. NICE DEAL !!!!!!!!!!!! Ants
