    Amen!

It's been unbelievable...I've met so many 'new' friends...people I would trust with my life...and like-minded "car type" individuals...on the HAMB- all brought together via this forum. I can't thank Ryan enuf....It's really amazing when you think about it all...people you would have never had the chance to meet in a thousand years- yet alone get along with...it's even put me in touch with High School buds I lost contact with!

If you told someone 11 years ago that we would be connected worldwide to people who all shared the same interests- I would have said you were nuts...but now...my- how times change.

  14. Yeah, and don't ya just love the old hard wall slick on the deep dish polished 5 spoke? That's the first thing that caught my eye when surfing someone elses link pages a while back, it drew me in like a beacon. That shit is like art to me.........:D

    VISION
    Ryan,

You had it then, have it now, continue to share it and always inspire it.

I picked up a book this week that had names like Tardel, Chapouris, Winfield and Page. Before I discovered your vision, these were just names I would never remember. I thought Rodding was defined by Barris, Foose, and dare I say, Coddington. As I show my ignorance, you have given credibilty to legends. As the Jalopy Journal turns Eleven, I have just been born. With the discovery of your work here, and the gracious offerings of wisdom and knowledge it brings together from this community, My wife gave me the room to build a car of my own dream. It will pale in comparison to many here, but it will be mine. You must bear no small part of the responsibilty for my joy, both then, now and tomorrow. Thank you for sharing your vision. I truly believe there is no need to tell you to keep it up.

Best Regards and Merry Christmas to You and Yours, from Me and Mine.

Ryan set up the right rules for the game, and everyone loves to play. A great story, and about the best use of this technology that i can think of.

I've been living overseas for a year now, and i love that i can connect to my passion from the other side of the world. Now i really notice all the posts from Sweden, Australia, UK, etc.

    Congratulations! A great accomplishment.

Happy birthday and thanks for your vision and time it took to build this site.I never thought I would be writing or playing on a web site, but The HAMB connects me to people that think and live the life that I live.I was born a car freak and will die a car freak, hot rods are my life, way before it became mainstream.Keep up the great work, sincerly DaveM.

  28. I lurked for several years and I'm just a FNG but the inspiration, knowledge, humor and encouragement I've received from the H.A.M.B guys and gals is overwhelming. Thanks, Ryan for your incredible vision and the energy to follow your dream and taking us all along for the ride. Congratulations!

What a long strange trip it's been....

  30. Happy Birthday, JJ. Great research, great documentation. inspiring topics; this sight is a living collage of hooligans, hell raisers, Hep-Cats and Hot Rod heavywieghts; not to mention artists and craftsmen of the highest pedigree keepin' it on the low-down with just a hint of overt attitude. "You guys ROCK!"
    God bless this mess.
