    Yeah....I didn't LOOK close enough.....hahaha! BFD....:p

If in fact the '64 IS a Max Wedge car.....it NEEDS restored back to original....or close to it.
Maybe different wheels or build it like a Super Stock but not 'axling' it.
I'm all for cutting up old cars but jeez..............

BigDad. That Belvedere looks great. What did you do for a front suspension? It looks a little up in the air, but could be because there is no engine. Good work!

this isn't a sport fury, cause they were all hardtops and ragtops, but here's a '64 2-dr post, the flying dutchman. pretty famous race team as i recall:

I think Belvederes had side trim - Savoys didn't. I had a 2 door post Belvedere with the trim. Belvederes also came as hard tops.

belvederes and savoys.......i'm usually all for cutting up old junk......but i couldn't cut one of these...unless it was a total basket case....even then ...it would have to be a awb withstraight axle project......i had a 64 fury .....and still regret selling it 10 years later.....and it was only a 318 / button car.....brandon

the aqua teal one in the picture was pretty much original.....all the paint was oem when i got it......ended up fixing a lower quarter that had a small crease...and the passenger fender that had some dents....never did finish it.....1st guy that looked at it ....took it home.....(insert homer simpson quote here......) brandon

Building 2, yes a couple of 65 Dodges here now...both will be altered wheelbase cars.........one with a straight axle, the other is conventional with the K frame moved 10 inches forward and longer torsion bars..........and another coming in for the same thing in late Feb...a 64 Plymouth...all "B" bodies...same chassis from 62 thru 67..

    Email if anyone wants pics

  13. Sweet car BigDad. My parents had a 64 Sport Fury. My Dad got the car with a destroyed 361 mill in it. He had a 413 wedge motor to put in it. That car was fast. My uncle had a 383 66 Cornet that could only scratch the trunk of the 64. Nice work of art you got there. Keep pushin. You'll make that date. It's gonna worth it huh.
My Duster was a 3 yr. project on just the drive train (Kids) It hasnt seen any body work yet, but it sure runs well. I drove it this past summer and man, It felt sooooo good. After lookin at that car sit and wait for me, it finally gave me something back. That feeling can,t be felt doin any thing else. You wait, Yours is commin. My wife saya it's a "sickness" and you know what? I agree. BigDad, I'm Lookin to see the finished product. Drive On !
