I really don't want to be the Grinch here, but be aware that Mother Nature has the final word on Speedweek. The whole deal can be severly limited or wiped out by weather without much warning. You might think about making some alternate plans/activities during that time period just in case. It would be a real shame to come clear across "the pond" and go home completly empty handed.

 

what elts is there to do ?

 

There is a new road course just west of SLC (Miller Motorsports Park) but I don't know the schedule.
SLC also has a oval track and a dragstrip too I believe. Maybe some SLC/Utah HAMBers will chime in with some suggestions.
Of course you could just stay in Wendover and gamble. Just make sure you have a roundtrip ticket

 

There isnt jack to do around here, so we'll put you to work on my stuff!! haha, Rootie nailed it though, we've got the road course and the drags but I must warn you the drags just have ricers.

I got a room @ The Nugget for the 13th thru 16th earlier today, 278.00 total w/tax.

I'm not sure of the date but Firebird Raceway runs their "Nightfire" nationals about the same time . It is not to far by air to Boise , ID from SLC . I guarantee you the best fuel show in the west ,5 second late model fuel altereds, nostalgia top fuelers , and usually some expo runs by legends such as "The Winged Express, jets and wheelstanders .
