That's my Fink next to Mark Mothersbaugh's Rat Fink Stew! How cool is that! I get to be part of this exibit and be next to the guy from DEVO. What an honor it's been. Too bad they spelled my name wrong here and in the book. It's Scheres, not Sheres. Ah well, close enough. Oh, and the book is well worth the $$ for anyone who hasn't picked it up yet. Lotsa cool Finks!

I thought I recognized some names but I didn't want to speak for guys I don't know.

How about a voluntary roll call/count? How many talented HAMBers were represented at the exhibit?

I'll jump in. Me and my pal Steve weiler did the one called "S**** Iron Tribute"
Its Ratfink with welding goggles and one welding glove making a metal sculpture of Big DaddyRoth after hours in the back of Roth Studios.
We were invited to display the Finkosel, but we just couldnt get it done in time. Its close, but you only get one chance to make a first impression...

I think the Statue of Liberty Fink is Killer!!!!!!
Cmon you other Hambers , Which RF is yours?????

I visited it today... very fortunate to have been here visiting the girlfriend and heard about here. The talent on the hamb always amazes me.

My poor g/f was so patient with me, I was back there for ages.

    GREAT post!

Looks to me like these are the same ones, some of the same, that were displayed in teh Continental Club during the Lonestar RoundUp this past April

They're gonna be auctioned off after the show with a 50/50 split between the artist and the Roth estate...

  22. Nice exhibit. The year I was there they had woodies. I've been a Roth fan since I was a kid in the 60's. I'm amazed that he has influenced many generations with his work. My last poster of his is autographed in 99.

Here are a few shots from yesterdays visit. It seemed like the gods were against me to get there... Drank too much the night before then we got locked outta the g/f's place. After using my Macgyver skills we were in the apartment and on the way to the petersen.

I've never heard of any Roth connection to that car. It was built in the late '50s/early '60s and then was in a small picture in Street Rodder in the early '70s saying the then current owner had found the old kustom coupe in a creek and revived it. I didn't see it again till I saw pictures of this Roth event. All definitely the same car. That new red version looks kinda cheap with the lack of chrome bits and no wide whites.

Now that I see it's striped I bet Ed striped it later in his career.
