Scoot. That looks great. Does it have a dropped axle? It is going to be weird seeing you without the elky
Thanks Larry. I don't think it has a dropped axle, but I will check of course. I haven't had a chance to go over the entire car yet.
Well how is it? Where are the Christmas Eve burnouts? Dont tell me you have to wait till after Christmas to drive it.
Great car! They make some great looking cruisers. Can't wait to see what you do to make it your own. Spike
car-nut, The car is pretty solid. I bought it from Blade's Rod Shop in PA, but it came from Kentucky. thanks. JR, I'd like to take burnout pics, but no one is around to take them right now. I'm hoping to bring it to the Showdown and get it dirty if my busy life permits. Spike, thanks, I don't have any plans laid out yet, but the first couple things I wanna do is lower it a couple inches and change the 3 on the tree to a gennie floor shift.
Congratulations! Looks great... but would look even better with some bugs splattered on the windshield.
I Had my 53 Droped off last sat. that i bought from Oklahoma, it's a great feeling knowing it makes it in 1 piece
Looks like an old custom, smoothed trunk lid, and shaved driprails? Pretty cool I have a TON of parts for these, I just got done putting together my 41 tudor sedan, so if you need something, let me know. Chris
thanks. I'm going to leave the paint as is, add subtle pinstriping, and lower it down a little. Will have more plans for it at as i go along. I'll keep the HAMBsters posted.
Well, it ain't a 59 El Camino (a home run for me), but I think I like it just as much. A perfect driving hot rod. I'm happy for ya. Hope it turn out how you want it.
Man, I do miss my Elky. I just had to sell it at that particular time. Oh well, I must move on. Thanks all for the comments! I gotta go out and down some beers now. Have a Happy New Year!
