found me a coupe...in an old hanger...my dad got one too...heres the one i got... gonna be a longterm project, but i had to get it while i could.
nope. dont think its for sale...the two coupes were for sale, and the slant window sedan you can barely see is sold too...
must be a member of the Model A Club.......... i heard theres was a guy around here with a bunch of A stuff that wasnt selling.....
...well doc, i think i realized i might be nuts when i saw this picture of a junkyard, and it was the most beautiful sight i had ever seen...
you realy are a "peckerhead" are'nt you! if they come off that 28/29 coupe i'm all over that. i want one of those in a bad way lately.
Awesome find. I know where quiet a few are here close to me, but the man doe not want to sell an of it. Awesome shop that he is hardly at, but I p*** by and when ever he is there I stop and help out. He has a 1931 Phaeton, a 1925 or 26 T, a 31 roadster too. and a huge ***ortment of parts, but will not sell any of it. So I go and drool as often as possible. Good luck with the projects.
Cool find, congrats ! Now can I get one too... You better keep your good relations to these people, good luck on your project ! / Sven
There's a minor difference in the firewall on the 31s, but I think the 1st 31s had the same as the 30. An inset gas valve pocket I think, but for most purposes we indulge in it doesn't matter. Nice score...peckerhead. OK I went back to look at em again in the pics. The one you got appears to be a 30 base on the firewall and it was a "Standard" based on lack of cowl light holes. The one on the right side in the pic where the firewall's visible, you can see the indented gas valve area in front of the p***enger seat.
Great find...keep us posted. Just goes to show ya that there are still a bunch of projects out there. www.carartonline.com
