I've got some really twisted ideas about Gold Leaf scallops... anyone have anything remotely close to what I'm invisioning here? Show me any kind of Gold Leaf on kustoms and rods you can dig up, I'd greatly appreciate it. I can't find **** for **** on GooGle or the others... just a bunch of aunt bea's gold leafing techniques and martha stewart ****.

The famous Connecticut painter Woody Woods now lives in Florida and drives around in a wicked candy slime green 54 merc with a 52 DeSoto grille and bumper. The car is chopped with slanted posts. The car has gold leaf flames all over it, In the late 60s and early seventies in New England Woody was like Larry Watson in the respect that he painted half the cars in the coliseum during the Hartford Autorama.

Mack that merc sounds absolutely delicious. Any pix? I just did a search here and maybe its here I dunno, but I couldn't find anything. 'Preciate ya'.

Javi, come on vato I know you can dig up some more leaf..

I know it was really popular on bikes during its time, but I'd LOVE to see any kind of Kustoms with leafing done. I need the inspiration!

I've seen bad*** ranflas and even really cool traditional late 50s/early 60s style kustoms with the roofs done with a nice color and gold leaf accents and patterns...

I like the gold leaf and silver leaf 'tracks' layed out along the hoods and trunks of kustoms, that's always made me stiff in tha trousers. One time I saw a roof with a combo of the nifty chrome tape strips down the center with contrastic leaf in between, i nearly fainted.

durad- my posting pic powers are no good. i like when the name of the car is in gold leaf or silver leaf. when jesse james did the royal royce in monster garage they put a nme in gold leaf. also in the biker build off when the chicano team won , his bike had a name in gold leaf. kutty's noteboom bike i think says "hippy killer" in gold leaf

yeah i like the lettering just as much as the next guy, lord knows i'd love to think of a schnazzy name for my olds in gold leaf on the trunk, but it aint in tha cards. im thinkin more along tha lines of patterns or maybe a pair of simple two-pointed scallops on the front fenders and hood and three-pointed reversed on tha trunk. man...
