No more car to take out and I lost interest in the costume party so I may be cancelling my res at the Gold Coast. That would free up a room thurs - mon.

Sounds like it's time to setup a HAMB meet.

Last year on Saturday we sorta met on the east side of the elevators. Not too much mingling went on, just a bunch of car geeks sayin hi.

Anyone from Vegas going to have a car in the show? If so, maybe we could setup a HAMB poster/banner and I'd bring a couple of cases of iced down beer and we could have more of a HAMB hangout. Just a thought.

If the weather stays like it is right now, it should be high 80s low 90s and on that parking lot its hotter, maybe someone has a popup shade.

Just throwing this idea out here.

 

Well.....further to my earlier post......I have just been fucked over by my boss....and have just e-mailed my cancellation request to the VLV team...

I am only going to be able to go Thursday through Saturday morning, bummer. I've never been before, is there a good showing of the cars on those days or only Sat. and Sun? I sure hope so.

 

I'll be there. Look for the drunk'n disorderly guys with Boston accents. I'll be the one stumbling around but still trying to take video footage.

This will be my 6th year or 7th or 5th (hell they are all a blur).......and I have never encountered or seen or heard of the cry baby "people look at me funny" situations. For hells sake! Most everybody is to drunk to care or to busy lookin the mirror.

we will be there as always (me & greaser girl got married there 5 yrs. ago), stop by & say hey, just look for all the checs, we will be there somewhere....we leave here tues. morning at 6:30 am, drive to reno, stay there then on to vlv, get there wed. night about 6:00 pm start parting and keep going 'till sun morn. then follow our bread crumbs home, just look for the wife's purple 51 chevy fleetline with green flames....then buy me a beer!...oh yea, mike, yes i am bringing a corkscrew!!!!......chip

 

Well the girlfriend and I will be heading out from Ventura early Thursday Morning.....if anyine is up for a caravan drop me a line.....can't wait....

 

my bros and i(hopefully) are going. also i am printing the shirts for the shifters this year. they are going to kick ass.

 

I'm driving out again this year. ( 4 years and a row ) Why should I stop going now.

 

Had a friend go last year and looked at all his pics from the car show and decided I had to go. So my buddy and I will be rollin down the highway in his 55 Ford and my 54 Chevy

Will have to pull some 16 hour days to get our rigs ready, but should make it there.

Driving 700 miles with a 235, sans oil filter. Should be interesting.

 

Hey lets make a definate time and place for the HAMBers to meet. Any ideas?

And if you have a shirt you have to wear it!

you guys know where i use to put the "HAMB MEETING" poster board sign on the old parking lot?.......and thats where everyone would gather around 11:00 a.m. on saturday? why dont we do it like old times and meet in that general area on the new parking lot? i guess it would be considered the south/west section of the parking lot? when you come out of that new walk-way turn to the right and you'll run in to it.
sound good? i might be too busy but i'll put a poster board on the wall so you'll know where to hang out.
