$500 truck

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Carbs & Chrome, Dec 27, 2006.

  1. So my dad just picked this up. I don't think it's too bad for $500. Runs and drives. And I know everyone will be jumpin' at a chance to get the wheels!

    $500.00 for a running & driving 65, damn...just damn.

  4. Yeah some old timer just had it sitting around by my brother-in-law's house. He went and looked at it for my dad, said it was in "decent shape", and my dad went and snagged it up. It is insanely straight in my opinion. It is originally out of New Mexico. My dad had a black on years back - he is saynig this one maybe that with red or tan leather interior.

Is it a 223 six or 240? I do not know what year they switched.

Neat old truck. If you decide to make it something other than just a driver, keep us advised.

  11. Beautiful '65!

I learned how to drive in a very similar '66 -- it was a beige F100 with an inline 240 and three-on-the-tree.

I'd happily pay $1000 for one of those today.

I gave $1100 for my '65 F100. Mine had a 352 and three on the tree. Has a 355 and a TH350 in it now...

Cool score! My son and I have been working on a '65 F-100 also.

We're in Taylorsville. Check the link below for some pics.

those trucks have a look all to themselves. have a shorty just like it sittn collecting dust, doesnt look that good though. i picked up a 65 crew cab a few years ago for $700 had to drive my ass to Montana to get it + lost the $1000 bucks i had in my pocket to pay for it.. some little old lady found 600 of it at the gas station and left her # and returned it to me so i guess i spent about 1100 but way worth it!!
